Aldermen are public servants. They should serve for a limited amount of time and then return to the public sector. Personal financial need would encourage return to the public sector and limit the number of lifetime aldermen.

When you represent the citizens of the city of Chicago, enriching your own pockets by reducing the money available to the city is the definition of conflict of interest. Should be considered treason.
