Scott girls – The Eagles won three games last week, including two in the sectional tournament of the inaugural Kentucky 2A championships, advancing to this weekend’s state tournament in Owensboro.
Holy Cross girls – The Indians rolled through the 9th Region All “A” tournament, winning three games last week including the championship game over St. Henry, 49-36, on Jan. 12. HC has won six games in a row and is 15-4 overall.
Campbell County boys – The Camels won three games last week, including two over 37th District foes Bishop Brossart and Calvary Christian, capped off by a resounding 29-point win, 81-52, over a strong Highlands team. The defending 10th Region champs have won five in a row and are 13-3 overall.
Scott boys – The Eagles were 3-0 last week and have won four in a row overall, including a win over Highlands and two in the sectionals of the inaugural Kentucky 2A championships, earning them a trip to the state tourney this weekend in Owensboro. Scott is 9-5 overall.
Covington Catholic boys – The defending state champion Colonels had two big wins, knocking off Winton Woods 61-49 and Ninth Region challenger Cooper 53-47. CovCath has won four in a row and is 14-4 overall.
