I wholeheartedly agree with - DLJ. I have a 27" Thunderbolt display and a Dell 27" U2715H side by side. I'd gladly swap both for a single Apple quality, preferably 34", with an ultra-slim bezel though, and pay a premium for the quality. These days that old adage, "Buy cheap, pay twice" is so apt!

The size of the monitor is less important than the build quality and design ethos.
Having disassembled both Cinema Displays & lower quality displays I can confirm there was a significant difference in the quality of materials.
The head-and-shoulders difference between the aluminum Cinema Displays and the bland, flimsy black plastic competition at the time was worth the extra $$.

32-34 inch curved display, but with NO anti-glare coating. Text is so much crisper and clearer on displays that don’t have an anti-glare coating. I previously used two 27-inch displays side-by-side, but find my current 34-inch curved Dell display more functional (the curve really does make a difference) and it takes up less space on my desk than two separate displays. As a data architect/DBA I’m looking at text and SQL code all day, so the lack of an anti-glare coating is critical for me. I’d like to see Apple improve the display stand, too. The stand should allow for height adjustment, not just tilt.

What I would really like is a hiDPI version of my 38 inch 21:10 monitor 8192 x 3200
