Without occupants, no one is patronizing local businesses or simply putting money back into our communities on a daily basis. If they wish to own property without contributing to the community other than through property taxes then I say pay a little more, who ever you are.

This is just another silly idea coming from our leftist NDP government that deeply believes that the best way to solve a problem, such as the cost and availability of housing, is to steal from the wealthy. It is ironic that this same government works so hard to block wealth creation in the province and in our country in general. It is a Vancouver Island illness, leftist politics and myopia.
