Should GM trucks offer a MegaCab option?

The extra room with a RAM Mega-cab is fantastic. Note that the other great feature of a Mega-cab is the back seat folding into a flat surface with a finished back wall. Great for dogs! Can't buy a new Silverado until these features are offered. And yes, the newer RAMs are really nice.

But, why not offer this? I want a Silverado 3500 HD dually where the front end and cab are as wide as the real wheels. Think about it! Way extra room and you won't clip the rear fender turning into a gas station. Again, why not?

I think they need to take the step even farther. I would love to see it more like a super-crew cab with two full rows of seats and a smaller third row for seat or anything else.

I’ve been driving my 2007 Silverado Classic 2500 HD 4x4 diesel for 130,000 miles and love it. However if GM offers a Mega Cab you can sign me up as a buyer. It would be perfect for transporting my manual wheelchair behind the driver instead of in the bed.

A mega-cab is mega necessary. That extra space is perfect security for things like personal luggage, laptops and even gun storage. Out of sight equals out of mind for thief's and even just passengers jumping into the truck and destroying valuables. Absolutely a great option for the 2500 and 3500HD models as well as the mid-sized 4500's and up. Heaven knows that GM is going to need something to help sell that new 2020 2500 and 3500 HD design.
