Football is a team sport. Players who are over-compensated and allowed privileges not available to other teammates begin to think of themselves as indispensable. That Brown and Bell are gifted athletes is indisputable. It’s just unfortunate that these two prima Donnas (a term that used to be reserved for wide receivers) began to believe their press clippings. The Rooney’s should dump these two, and maybe throwing in Tomlinson in one of the deals, and then get back to what got the Steelers greatness. Brown is, and always will be a trouble maker, wherever he lands. Bell is injury-prone. Some other team will find that both are on the downhill side of their productive years. I agree with a previous post who noted the careers of Holmes and Wallace post-Pittsburgh. The Steelers had it right with Bryant, another gifted athlete who couldn’t stay out of trouble. Too bad they didn’t follow suit on AB and LB.

Bens a veteran he asked to rerun a route you do it. Don't show up on game day on the field in your tiger stripped fur coat come in your work clothes (uniform) Deal him....

I blame Tomlin, Nole or Cower would not have put up with this crap from any Steeler ! and if AB is really going to listen to T . Owens, he's in real trouble . As far as Big BEN , be a f--- in leader, shut up and worry about your interception rate , and your teammates . Be a MAN NOT A SPOILED BRAT ! I would like to see Brown stay. but force him to change. A that means be on time, do your job, and stop the shit

All the yes votes are probably coming from the Steelers rivals

  • Brian Bagniefski - 5 years ago

He doesn't want to play for the Burg, adios MF! Immature player, let's see how he fairs without Ben. We all saw what he does when Ben doesn't play, NOTHING.

AB is a bum. Time to say goodbye

It’s Antonio Brown we’re talking about people what is wrong with you. He’s the best receiver in the league. Why would you want him gone.

  • Johnny Gaydos - 5 years ago

He's probably the best WR in the league...but for me...not worth the trouble......plus...He doesn't want to be there.......With no leadership on that team....none whatsoever.......He'll be trouble again in the future......Look at Brady.....He wins with no star power at WR..The best WR he had in his career was Randy Moss...and Moss was older and he wasn't there that long......Because he's a Leader....Ben couldn't lead a Boy Scout troop...Trade AB...make him happy.....Just make sure you get what you want in return......

Antonio Brown has been one of my favorite players for years. That being said, he apparently no longer wants to be a Steeler. The choice is really up to him. However, as former Steeler WRs who left here should know, Big Ben and a great Offensive Line help make very good WRs great ones. How great were these guys after they left Pittsburgh? Mike Wallace? Santonio Holmes? And take Le'Veon Bell's status into consideration. He's a great RB, but before the injury to James Conner, the Offense didn't really miss Bell much, if any at all. Great players can be replaced with great players! I hope he sees the light, but if not, a few high draft picks would be nice!

Sorry, I don't care how good of a player you are, if you are not a team player and can't be a team leader, then you don't belong with the Steelers. The ownership and head coach are at fault allowing this man to dictate to the team on how it's going to be. We don't need prima Donna's. We need good players that want to become great team players.....that's what the Steelers are all about....goodbye brown !

If the Steelers can get him in line and AB stops his antics I say we should sign him.

YUP Tomlins fault for letting it go as long as it did, Think about this stat Tomlin owns on the road against teams their favored to win his record is 6-5 the rest of the NFL is 52-10 let that sink in, teams they should absolutely not lose to, Tomlin is like that guy or gal who does just enough work to get the job done without getting fired, then takes a 2 hour lunch and your like really dude? Mismanaged, unprepared, unmotivated, undisciplined, 3 words for the team he coaches, Talented, Hot, Mess, and until they ship this buffoon off, no offense to buffoons, it will be same ol, same ol with this inept coach at the keel. And trade Brown for a quality player and a pick. His time in da Burg is over.

IF YOU HANG AROUND TRASH YOUR GONNA STINK... TIME TO DUMP HIM .

  • Gary Sladick - 5 years ago

AB has been nothing but a distraction for the past two years. His antics on and off the field are a disgrace.
Tomlin's fault too for letting it go but trade AB ASAP

  • Tim Byers - 5 years ago

Brown should be gone & Tomlin should be gone. He’s a lousy coach still winning on what Bill Left. Why don’t the Rooney’s take a stand like they used to, set an example of problem players. The Patriots organization stills does this ! Let Brown go and watch how unsuccessful he is. Let Tomlin go, he may be a decent assistant coach but he’s not a head coach. GO BIG BEN!

I have been a devoted Steelers Fan for 50 years. My God, where is the Team Pride, and Determination to be the best? AB stay with the Steelers, and work hard like teammates Bragg that you do- "hardest worker I have every seen" Tomlin quit putting up with stuff, such as being late, allowing AB be a Diva, etc (think of it as a boss) Ben shut your mouth- can't always run your teammates down, or how about talking to them face to face. Steeler owners don't waste so much $ on lost with cap room, etc. Steeler Fans where is your Team Spirit?

Although the culture problem is Tomlins fault. Brown needs to go. Brown's worried about Brown, the TEAM comments second. We need to change the culture. This season should've humbled us.

All these “life long” Steelers fans are ignorant, spoiled, and don’t see it both sides. Media portrays him as bad guy but it always takes two and there has BEN a problem there. I do believe he should’ve explained his side by now but always gotta be understanding.

  • Sharon Lynn Hounshell - 5 years ago

NO! Keep him, work out the differences!

  • Garnet Rodgers - 5 years ago

    No, Nope, Negative,Not!

  • Dave Elson - 5 years ago

AB & LB can both jump off the fort pitt tunnel bridge as far as I am concerned

  • Todd Gentry - 5 years ago

Why are we talking about A.B.? The real issue here is Tomlin and his lack of leadership. That’s who should be let go. He allowed this to happen and escalate to this point.

  • David Kraski - 5 years ago

I’m a life long Steelers fan and AB has been my favorite player to watch for the last 6 years but the way the Steelers were portrayed in the media because of the distractions caused by AB and Le’veon make me believe that it’s time for a culture change. The type of assets we can get by trading AB in his prime are huge and with the possibility of having multiple 1st round picks in a defensive loaded draft can help us get back to our roots and build a young, solid defense

  • Dalton Coppola - 5 years ago

AB is my favorite Steeler. However, the distractions he brings to this team are beginning to outweigh the good stats every Sunday. As much as it will hurt to see him in any other uniform, a fresh start with a couple shiny new draft picks the Steelers get for him is something that all Steelers fans should look forward to.
