Should hospital parking be free?

There is no free...If they dont collect money there it will be made up somewhere else.

People will pay at the parking meter of taxes, and in some cases I believe in the user fee, meaning if you use the service you pay for it.

I dont think paid parking should be a profit center, profiting off hospital visitors is kind of low.

Absolutely no parking fees at hospitals. And no parking fees at parks. I lived in Vancouver when meters were put into the parking lots at Stanley Park - I was shocked., and in Tofino - ridiculous

yes, parking at the hospital should be of no charge! I’ve been told that parking at the jail is free. Why isn’t it pay parking there instead?

I think to charge people at sometimes the most vulnerable times in life is absurd I agree with donation and also the staff parking lots at both our major hospitals frequently are not full because they pay to park so by taking the paying out of it would allow those spaces to also be utilized as well. A lady I spoke with recently who’s husband is in palliative care at RJH had to pay over $200 to park in December to visit with her husband that’s absurd. After they’ve stated it isn’t cost effective and really doesn’t make them much money c’mon
