BC Place should remain BC Place. Nothing wrong with having a sponsor, but a full change in name is something I am not in support of. If the stadium needs additional funding, charge the people who actually use it. Sports teams and host events can easily pay an additional fees.
If a sponsor is a must... naming it BC Place Stadium sponsored by *insert name* is as far as it should go.

A tax payers paid property renaming for funds to help tax payers!! Sent me an annual cheque then I'll believe them. It's like the sales tax on used vehicles: again and again and again and again. Maybe Victoria wants to buy a newer wood splitter??? Raising funds by a government is NEVER in tax payers interest!! Cut cost , volunteer some time for the greater good and earn our respect, THEN I might MAYBE believe your nonsense comments.

Taxpayers paid for this edifice Why should we now change the name of a public funded stadium to advertise some commercial enterprise? If we are so desperate to generate more revenue, then I suggest that we re-name the provincial legislature building to reflect its role as a model of highest ethics. LOL.

So if some Corporation wants to give the taxpayers of British Columbia tens of millions of dollars to slap their name on a stadium , 40 percent of you think it’s a bad idea ? SMH.

Re name it for sure. If a large corporation wants to hand over some cash and name it after themselves. Cool, it might pay a few bills.

Re name it “ The Christy Clark Barn “ BC liberals budgeted 355 million, for a final tab of 550 million to renovate a 60 thousand seat stadium that included tarps to camouflage 40 thousand empty seats and a sun roof that opened 3 times in 2018 ! Until Vancouver gets a MLB baseball team or NFL team it will be an empty stadium with a pathetic outdoor circular light show every night !
