Lakota West girls – They clinched their fifth consecutive Greater Miami Conference title when they beat Hamilton on Thursday 88-25 and East on Saturday 68-20 finishing 15-1 in the GMC and 20-2 overall. They are averaging 67 points per game while holding their opponents to just 37.
Purcell Marian boys – The 16-4 Cavaliers may have lost to the No. 1 team in the state, but they picked up three straight wins before that to help them continue to be ranked in the state Division III AP poll.
Mt. Healthy boys – The Owls held off Harrison to lock up its first-ever Southwest Ohio Conference championship. The Owls, which have won eight straight SWOC contests since losing to Ross Dec. 18, got 15 points and a pair of three-pointers from freshman guard Kollin Tolbert.
Hughes boys – Despite a one-bucket loss to Olentangy Liberty Feb. 9, Hughes (16-2) is first in the very tough Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference, with an 8-1 conference record. They hadn’t lost since Dec. 11 before that game.
West Clermont boys – West Clermont, sitting atop the Eastern Cincinnati Conference at present, outlasted Kings 52-41 Feb. 8 behind a defense that forced 14 turnovers and a 16-point night from Jackson Ames.
