How does the Machado signing look from the Padres' perspective?

    I sat behind the dugout as a season ticket holder in Baltimore for the last 7 years. I think it was pink bat day and I remember Machado took off his shirt to change his jersey and it smelled like armpit juice in the lower bowl of the stadium.

    I am an avid White Sox fan many of the fans are on the ledge!!! He’s a legitimate superstar but only one player- I want no part of Bryce not the same player.

    It’s a calculated risk as an early augmentation to their expected home grown talent. Machado is rare talent available at an early age. This was a progressive move based upon wanting to win and believing in themselves.

    I like the signing, they needed to make a huge splash and they did!!!! Now they need to sign at least ONE PITCHER..

    Hosmer deal is WAY to early to be second guessing. 1st yr in the NL

    I think this is a very good signing for the padres. I think they already regret the Hosmer deal tho
