Back in the 60's this area was supposed to become a industrial park. That went nowhere. Now it is only places to eat. Why not bring one more in. If everyone is worried about tax abatements, why not clean up areas on Linden ave, main streets and west main streets. This town needs cleaned up. So many run down places. What happened to the clean up of united tech. on linden, that's an eye sore. So many stores on west main street need cleaned up also. If I were traveling thru Zanesville, I wouldn't want to stop here. Just an old run down city. Why not combine Zanesville and South Zanesville bring in more revenue, even houses on Maple Ave are run down. We need business for people to work at, the only ones left are Brockway Glass, Burnham boiler and Armco. In order for people to spend money eating at these restaurants, they money in their pocket. Come on Zanesville, let's clean this town up. P.S. ride out 40 west and look at all the run down places all the way to Gratiot.

Any employee who works there is going to pay 1.9% percent of their wages to the city of Zanesville no matter where they live because it is the work city. The less tax large corporations pay the more individuals have to pay to support the city government. That is police, fire and public works and more necessary services. The TCJA just passed by congress already gave corporations a big tax break. It is time for the trickle down to happen but that is not how it works. They get a break from the feds and they sure are not going to pass it on to employees, local governments or any one but board members and share holders. No way. 5 year 10% is more than generous. Nothing more

They wouldn't be trying to put a TRH in if they didn't think it would be profitable. This is just an easy tax break on their behalf. TRH should experience the same barrier to entry as all the other businesses in the area. Not excited that they thought they could slip this by the counsel without proving that it was even needed (where's the proof of this environmental harm expense).

We love Texas Roadhouse.. we want one hear. Yes It will be more jobs. But I don't fill it's far to give them tax brake. No small business get them. No loacl people get them. No small business her them. So why should a big rich business get them. And 15 years is a long time.

I don’t understand why people would go against bring in the Texas roadhouse in when it will have given people you know more jobs then we get people that come to eat that will get it here before the next exit and they are slammed constantly up there they bring in the money and I would love their feed and there’s not one business has ever been put anywhere that hasn’t got dealing with enough tax cuts and everything else so I just don’t understand how people can be like this you know it does it does it makes any sense
