I wasn't going to say anything, but as long as all the comments here are pro-Minority Report...

    You're all right.
Great directing. Great original material. Great acting. Great post production. And a far more satisfying story about a man in search of the answer to an incomprehensible question. Old Boy: the world full of murder and sex because we're all animals. Minority Report: the world has no murder, except for the people who control the system.

I revisited Oldboy in preparation for this tournament. It has real narrative issues and thematically, even as a provocation, I think it's more of a problem now that when I first watched it. Minority Report was randomly on cable during its first 20 minutes and I sat down and watched the whole thing. It's view of the future has aged very very well and its concerns with human agency are probably timeless. Minority Report, all the way.

I’ve said forever that Minority Report is a film that wasn’t given enough love in its time. I think the further away we get from it the better it becomes.
