The demise of the Cubs is real. Madden stinks as a manager. Baez had a career year and he will be back to his low on base percentage swing and miss self. Kris Bryant smells like hemorrhoidal cream and Jason Hayward wishes he was on a real team.

The additions the Reds made will propel to the top stop in the division. Puig is a really nice fart master and teammates will flock to his farts.

I agree with you Sean also they lost their closer in June. I think the extra time off helped them get healthy and focused. I am really impressed with what the Reds and Cardinals added, as for the Brewers Grandal is not that good there is a reason the Dodgers let him go.

Seriously, Cubs did nothing 2 improve, brewers lack pitching, reds might suprise a few with offensive power, injuries will decide division

With this division being so closely matched winning 90 games for any of them would be difficult. It would probably mean that one of the teams most likely collapsed. Also, not having a "tanking" team in the division will probably mean they'll have to win the division to make the playoffs. Regardless, we're looking at some great baseball from the NL Central!

The cubs went 7-3 in their last 10 games, and I believe played north of .600 ball in September. I'll take that kind of choke anytime. The brewers will fall of this year, as they killed their bullpen last year, and added no innings eaters for this year. Bullpens are never quite as effective the year after being overtaxed. I like Nelson, but he's coming off of a shoulder injury. Nothing is guaranteed....and he's not going to throw a large amount of innings his first year back.

Brewers were without Nelson. I see your point, but it doesn't give the Cubs a better chance in '19. League-leading BABIP (.312) tells us the Cubs were actually lucky last year and not an underperforming club.

The demise of the Cubs is so hilariously overplayed. Winning 95 without Darvish and half a year of KB? Brewers played great down the stretch and deserved the division title. No doubt. Doesn’t change the fact the Cubs choked, didn’t take them seriously, got worn out with 41 games in 40 days or whatever. They win 93 games falling out of bed.
