I really have to give "No Country" a second chance. I didn't like it very much when I saw it about 10 years ago, but as I didn't like like "The Departed" either I might have been just plain wrong. But for now my vote goes to Brick.

I voted for Brick because I don't want the Coens to three-peat.

I love both these movies so much and have watched both multiple times. The matchup between the two is definitely the closest this round. In the end, however, I went with No Country for Old Men because when I asked myself what movie I'd most like to watch right now it was that film. Close though. So close.

Brick doesn’t end with the villain WALKING AWAY UNOPPOSED and JGL talking about some dream that doesn’t relate to the plot. Maybe this could be excused in Blood Simple, but not this far into their careers.

I have to admit, even though I've voted against No Country twice, I haven't been that sad about the movies it has taken out. Brick is a fantastic movie, and I like Rian Johnson quite a bit as a director, but I just don't have the love for it that I have for others on this list.

I voted Brick. I know it will lose. I don't care. Screw you Coens (jk I love you Coens). Ugh I hate this.

“Golden brick slaughter monsters.” That’s what the directors cut of No Country for Old Men should be retitled to. Good grief fellas. I know you didn’t do this on purpose (or did you) but really? Two classic golden brick winners vs the juggernaut?!?! Talk about eating your own. First of course (or first course) is Moon. Incredible first effort film not to mention incredible science fiction classic... goner. Then the literal first ever golden brick winner and first masterful effort (of many) from one of your favorites Rian Johnson with BRICK! Again versus the juggernaut/ Golden Brick Slaughter Monster! How dare you sirs! How dare you..... I of course had to pick No Country. Ugh and poo is all I can say. Maybe I’ll add a meh and argh for good measure. Seriously though, you guys are one of, if not THE reason I was turned on to Moon and Brick in the first place. Now you are the reasons I am helping to destroy them for all of ever. I hope you are happy with yourselves and somehow I still love you guys. Just add it to the list of conflicted feels in life.
    Bahumbricks!!
Go No Country for Old Men I suppose.

Voting "No Country" forward now, while knowing I'll have to offer up some pretty weighty arguments against it once it gets to the final four against a few vastly superior films like "There Will Be Blood" and "Children of Men". Such is madness.

Man, I really don't want to vote for No Country because I think it's massively overrated and, maybe more importantly, I'd love to be the old geezer that shuts these hipster fanboys down; but, truth be told, all I remember about Brick is the Golden Brick awards and something about Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a tunnel. Honestly though, snarky reactionaryism (is that word Josh?) aside, No Country is not a bad film. Not bad at all.

I love Brick, but it was easy to vote against it in this matchup. I predict a landslide here.

I actually found this whole round easier than the last. The most painful decisions were decided, and even if my pick didn't win I could now vote for my other choice. It was kind of nice, in a way. Very few this time that I spent more than a few seconds on, but I predict this is just a nice lull before next week.

I am so sorry Brick. You are a creative film and well deserving of all the praise. But you have run into, ummm, a wall here. As great as No Country was when it came out, it's even better now. Repeated watchings show has masterful the Coens were here. And, unlike their other films, there is no obvious stamp of directorship on the film. It really is amazing. Rather than mourning Brick today, we should celebrate No Country.

It feels like the Golden Brick winners are getting thrown in to the deep end! First you put No Country against Moon and now Brick? Sure the two golden bricks are brilliant and among some of my favourite entries in this bracket, but did you really have to put them against a heavy hitter like No Country? Unfortunately they won't stand a chance.

Had a small epiphany after I hit submit on my first comment.
Both Adam and Josh had No Country for Old Men on their top 5 films of the Filmspotting era on Episode #500. There's no wiggling out of this one, I. along with hundreds of others, witnessed it.
Where's Brick? I'll tell you were it's not - on anyone's list of the top 5 films ofthe Filmspotting Era.
So, do the right thing guys.

Sorry, I know it's where the "Golden Brick" award came from, but the Golden Brick is for the best under-watched, most overlooked, and breakout film. No Country is none of those for a reason. Period!
