Edward Minter, York High basketball: Scored 17 points on Friday as the Bearcats opened the PIAA Class 5A tournament with a victory over District 7 third seed Chartiers Valley at Chambersburg High School. York High meets District 7 champ Moon in Tuesday's second round.
Levi Haines, Biglerville wrestling: The freshman advanced into Saturday's PIAA state tournament championship match at 106 pounds with an 8-0 semifinal win over Kai Burkett of Chestnut Ridge. Haines is ranked 11th nationally by InterMat and is unbeaten on the season.
Logan Collins, Littlestown basketball: The senior scored a team-high 16 points Friday as the Thunderbolts saw their season end in the first round of the PIAA Class 4A tourney to Bonner-Prendergast in Philadelphia. Collins finishes his scholastic career as Littlestown's all-time leading scorer.
Michael Wolfgram, Central York wrestling: The senior remained unbeaten on the season by winning his PIAA Class 3A quarterfinal Friday in the 285-pound bracket. The West Virginia commit meets George Mason recruit and fellow unbeaten wrestler Jake Slinger of Upper St. Clair in the semis.
Cameron Speed, Central York swimming: Earned a third-place finish in the Class 3A 500 free during last weekend's District 3 championships. The junior swam a time of 4:35.97.
