How would you prefer the series finale to be?

I think FiM deserves the full Weirdmageddon treatment, take as many episodes as necessary yo finish things off properly.

Up until now, we've been used to seeing two part finales with that one exception being Season 3, which only happened because we didn't expect the show to last this long. Yet here we have these questions: Would a two part finale be enough? Or is it possible that there is more to cover and two episodes won't do it? When I gave my vote to a three part finale, it was because I remembered how a major arc took more than two episodes to cover (Some even expanding to five parts). If we are intending to leave the show on a high note, it's natural to end it as big as possible.

Course when I think of this question, I would imagine 'how' the episode would end. For me, it would make sense to end the show as it began: The closing of the book. While one could argue the opening book segment was to reveal the backstory of the princesses and setting up the scenes for the premier, I felt there was more to it than that. As if this whole series was a set of chronicles highlighting the journey of Twilight Sparkle and all the friends she made along the way. And when the time comes to put an end to this story, the entire legacy was all part of one big book to share with a new generation of a community of a changed world. Whether the book is closed by magical circumstances or opened by an older member of the group, I think to me it would be a big way to end the series (With a musical number leading into it, I'm a sucker for those).

Having said that, however this series 'does' end, whether it takes more than two parts or even what happens 'leading' to the ending, it's been an incredible roller coaster and I'll always have the memories of the effects this show had on a fan like myself.

I dont care as long as I actually feel it might impact equestria for once, that its dangerous. I have NEVER feelt as if something really was at risk so they really have to step up their game.

A purple claw closes a familiar book cover "And that was how the west was won..."
"Daddy did mommy really do all those things in the book?"
"Yes and she'll do much more if we're late for our family weekend brunch".
A little clawed hoof grasped her fathers claw her tail happily wagging.
"I wonder If Auntie Sweetie will bring her family too Twilights always had a curious thing about hybrids"
"Daddy I worry about Aunt Twilight sometimes...Lots of sometimes"
They walk off into the sunset, THE END "Mommy calls Auntie Twi a Fashionable Wreck"

I'm actually thinking more along the lines of how Teen Titans did it. Maybe have the epic fight be the 24th and 25th episodes, and have the actual episode finale be at a bit slower pace- maybe a recap of all the things Twi and her friends have been through.

A 26 part finale - essentially a tight, season long story arc.

Epic. I'd like it to be epic. Or very good. That would be nice too.

A 2-part finale... And then a special after season 9!
