I would not support just cutting them loose. They need help and oversight

Yes, I would definitely support eliminating parole for those convicted of violent offenses such as aggravated murder, first degree criminal sexual conduct (rape) or sexual assault resulting in serious injury to the victim. Also, family violence offenses involving the use of physical violence towards the victim. Parole should not be granted to anyone convicted of a crime which clearly results in serious harm to a victim except in cases judicially determined to have mitigating circumstances.
It is my understanding that parole has been eliminated in the federal court system and, therefore, federal prisoners serve their full term. This can be made to apply in the local superior court with crimes of violence.
