    This is getting utterly ridiculous!
I can’t wait for the next city council election.

This is getting insane. Is the Whitemud and the Henday next? In the next election I'll vote for whichever candidate wants to get rid of the 30kph zones.

This is a great idea! This is all about traffic safety, reducing collisions. VISION ZERO!!!! If we can reduce one fatality, great news. If we can reduce more, even better. Its not about revenue. The revenue does not go to the City operations. It goes back to traffic safety. If you want to speed, then pay the tax. This isn't going away people. It has nothing to do with who is in council.

Cost of 7 million to change signage wow they must be banking on a huge cash cow from photo radar.. this is not about safety

Education should also target parents and common sense? Not just drivers. Don’t cross the road, jwalk unless it’s clear, or only cross at marked crosswalks. I see people crossing the street so often with their heads down on their cell phones or talking and distracted. I’m in my forties and if I’m crossing a road it’s after I look both ways and walking fast or running if I’m jwalking. As a driver I notice often that pedestrians often barge out in front of traffic assuming the driver will stop? Safety is the responsibility of both the driver and pedestrians. Slowing speed limits will create a bigger problem because pedestrians will be more relaxed on the road and more in danger because there will always be someone speeding. The only advantage of lower speed limits is photo radar revenue.

Why not 10 kph that will generate more faster income for the City..

This is nothing but an entrapment program to set up photo radar and other cash cows. There is nothing wrong with 50 kph. 30 is just ridiculous, will create frustrated drivers and will make playground/school zones invisible as no one will alter speeds.

This is getting ridiculous!! I know socialist Iveson and his council do not like cars but the fact is we use cars to get around in the city despite their trying to socially manipulate us into using other more inconvenient means..

I question the the choices I make when I mark my ballot voting for council and mayor. It is obvious to me now that I didn't think very clearly.
