"That's Why Darkies Were Born" was recorded by Kate Smith in 1931; if this song was so offensive, why did it take 89 years for people to say something?

Kate Smith was and always will be an American icon. Istill get goose bumps when I hear her rendition of God Bless America! I am sure if she was alive today,she would not have sung that song based on current standards. Iwas never a Yankee fan,but I did respect them for how they ran there business. Well NOT ANYMORE! Shame on you......Spinless and Unamerican!!! and that goes for Philil Flyers as well!

I used to be atheist. Alcohol, cigarettes, profanity, fornication and ungodliness was my lifestyle. You would NEVER hear me singing God bless America! She sounds like a Born Again Christian! They were always racist. The difference is not what is racist, but how racism was more dominant and acceptable then.
One way to change that, especially in the age of Trump, is to call it out ALWAYS.

Just totally rediculous response,especially since at the time of these 2 songs all of baseball practiced racist policies.
Perhaps they should shut down Yankee Stadium !!!
