I like the farmers market idea, might be alot to manage for a landlord. Might require a company to come in, lease the entire space and sublet out stalls on a rotating basis. It could work. I'd live to have a good butcher in there, and good produce.

Have you seen what Trader Joe's in Lake Grove looks like on the weekends? Could you imagine that chaos in Port Jefferson? It's hard enough parking in that area, even in the off-season.

Hey everyone !!! Please take a moment to think about how we can use this opportunity to help those in need, we have a growing homeless population and alot of people need our support (last thing businesses in examples need is another $$ from us) we are wanting to have trader Joe's yet over 100 people who are native to port Jeff have lost there place of living over the last 5 years due to increased rates and stagnant wages. PLEASE COMMUNITY OF PORT JEFF , let's come together and fix this problem with our tax dollars , this is a majority decision. Some of you won't even care to think twice most of you will think someone in your life who has had to make changes due to the ever growing struggle we have not created but can help fix .peace and love to u all

Farmers market. Why not make it a permanent farmers market? Local growers and suppliers could sell year round, rotate days, weeks whatever. People could rely on grocery shopping any day of the week instead of trying to jam into the parking lot every Sunday when it’s nice. “Port Jeff farmers market” done.

Don't let the Village administration get hold of it, they will bulldoze a parking lot in the space.
