    Dear Mr. Murphy,
If the southern part of the Wellington Street Extension were to come to fruition Kingston would be obliged to buy a significant amount of land on or near the old K&P railway corridor. I was told, when I asked a developer who is in the process of creating a lovely knew development in the area that that land, part of the original corridor and what I believe to be the WSE’s original plan, was purchased. Therefore, Kingston would need to purchase a significant portion of the likely pricey, virtually vacant old Rosen Fuels property, possibly reinstate The River Street Bridge, or reconfigure the land around it, deal with a significant amount of brownfield issues on or adjacent to the Davis Tannery property which is where the city has already enhanced the walking trail plus limit the expansion of our downtown, recreation and tourism in the King’s Town area and more, for, what seems to be, getting you home, by motorized vehicle a minute or two earlier than you do now.
There is a water trailhead along that stretch, and the K&P Trail walking trail is there. The Queen’s City Oil building is finally being brought back to life and my prayer is that it becomes a hub for ones that can use their legs, their bicycles or their wheelchairs along those trails for recreation and getting to and from work downtown etc. without the interference or use of a motorized, high emission spitting, fuel sucking vehicle or like traffic overpowering them.
In the past few weeks the water level in The Great Cataraqui River was at the highest level that I have noticed over the last 30 years (ish). Within the past week or so The LaSalle Causeway’s lift bridge, the water connection between Lake Ontario and The Inner Harbour could not safely be lifted due to the high-water level. Watercraft that would normally use the lift bridge would not be able to enter or leave the Inner Harbour within that time.
History with pictures can show that the area surrounding the Inner Harbour/Wellington Street has been known as a flood plane.
So, I thank you Harold Murphy for calling me a dog. In this day and age it is no compliment to be classified as human … the stupidest beings on the planet … the greedy creators of our children’s, our planet’s destruction.

With all the big ticket events down town and at the Leon's Centre we need the Wellington Street extension to go from Bay street to JCB so people living in the north end and in the west end can get home efficiently. This has been on the books for a long time and should have been built years ago...As far as the study goes it looks tainted to me. In think it is politically driven? The park can be repurposed...we have lots of parks and this one can't be used for swimming or picnicking....It is only good for dogs.
