I am so looking forward to your new book! While I love the beauty and simplicity of the proposed covers, I agree with the earlier comments. Also, when I first saw the pan of chicken along with the word dove in the title, it made me think that dove was being served!

I went with 2 because it immediately grabbed my eye as something fresh. And it does say "happy times with friends and food." Cookbooks always have dishes of food on their covers, boring. But then Mike above notes --- all white people. Egad. Never thought of that. So the political aspect has to be considered, too? This is going to be tougher than you thought.

The only problem with the Feast photo and the title........ is where does it say it's about cooking and food? Somehow that's got to jump out at you. Maybe back to the drawing board?

I voted for No. 1 but agree with the above poster that there’s no reason to offend/scare off vegetarians. No. 2 is even worse in this regard; it says your book is aimed at white people. Avoid using non inclusive images.

While both pictures are very nice, at first glance the one with the dishes of food made me think of a cookbook. Which I'm guessing it will partly be - but it would be a shame to discourage the vegetarian/vegan sector from even picking it up (and not purchasing!). Plus, with the current state of the world, people are craving a sense of community, which is immediately reflected in the second pic.
