We have not seen an increase in student reneges; however, we did see an increase this year in employer reneges! I would be interested in a survey that showed how many schools have policies in place for dealing with a employer who reneges on an offer with no justification.
If the renege is on an offer for an internship, the student may be blocked from the recruiting management system for 1-2 terms post internship. If the renege is on an offer for a full time position, the student may be blocked from the recruiting system post-graduation.
