Simple answer here. Imagine these dogs are not put down, and down the road they attack another child causing more severe injuries or even death. There is not one person here that wouldn't be asking "Why were these dogs not euthanized after the first attack?"

I’m a dog lover, also a mother & grandmother so sympathetic towards all concerned here. Have had large dogs & small, these dogs evidently packed up to attack this child. She couldn’t really provoke
This type of violence at this age, too scary. Can’t predict future behavior of these dogs towards children, too chancy...keeping them penned up is no life for the dogs as well.

The owner offered to provide better security for his beloved pets. As with humans, dogs should be given a chance for rehabilitation.
