Why not tax soda? Oh, wait, soda is already subject to GST and PST, so it is taxed. Maybe the solution is to encourage people to drink healthier beverages by making them more affordable. You can buy 4 litres of soda for about $2.00, while 4 litres of milk is over $4.00.
