You are sounding like a 2 yr old stating it’s not fair to those that have already paid. College tutor ion is extremely expensive. Many are in debt that is hard to pay some have even left the country so they won’t have to pay. Finding a way to help cut this college debt is not something to laugh at. It’s a way to help Americans out of college debt that has crazy interest.

We GIVE the fossil fuel industry (oil, coal, gas) free money in the form of massive subsidies every year in the form of direct funds, tax incentives, and price supports. The United States has spent more subsidizing fossil fuels in recent years than it has on defense spending, according to a new report from the International Monetary Fund. The IMF found that direct and indirect subsidies for coal, oil and gas in the U.S. reached $649 billion in 2015. Pentagon spending that same year was $599 billion. Where is the hue and cry over free money for the riches companies and individuals on the planet?

Education, especially higher education, is critical to the future competitiveness of our nation. Which is more important, prolonging the last drops and tons of fossil fuels when there are proven non-carbon alternatives, or funding education that might well lead us out of the earth-destroying trap we have set for ourselves?
