Oh ya, that's smart. Let's charge people outrageous prices for food and items, levy tax after tax on those items, and your income, and then charge you for the amount of garbage you create after finished with those goods. Tell me, why are we allowing ourselves to be subjected to the whims of inept politicians and city counsel that we pay for, only for them to turn around and squeeze more money out of people. I highly doubt any of them are drinking out of "paper water bottle type things" or riding their bicycles to city hall and parliament.

I guess I will be burning most of my garbage. Forcing people to pay even more for garbage pickup is a great way for people to find cheaper ways to dispose of their trash. Burn barrels will be the norm and companies will see their garbage bins fill up daily as workers and passerby throw their trash in them. Wanna make people reduce, reuse, and recycle???? Make it a reward not a punishment.

This is the perfect way to have residents dumping their trash all over the place.
