Have you supported downtown businesses during Dundas Place construction?

Havent we given enough to the downtown already? It seems every other week they are either whining or have their hands out for money. They campaigned for money for fanshawe for the third redo of dundas street, budweiser gardens and many other things. Maybe it is time to spend our money elsewhere. If Bancroft is such a famous business, why are sales down 90%. Something doesnt fit.

I think that the city should compensate the local business owners that have lost revenue due to the so long time duration of the construction, its hard enough trying to run a small business without this big of an inconvenience to customers.

I go downtown as little as possible at the best of times, due to parking - never mind during this construction period. Recently though, I attended a performance at the Wolf Perf Hall - I had some time to kill so I made my way over to a commercial art gallery to have a look around. The owner was there but quite surly - I'm guessing because of the construction and the weather. There was almost no one downtown on a spring Saturday afternoon, albeit rainy.

Has the city done anything to support them? Why not ask who supports this ridiculous nonsense that is dundas place? Who the hell asked for this idiotic project? We have a perfectly good park that can host events it's preposterous to close a street down for the same purpose. I hope someone gets fired for this but the morons running this city probably gave that person a promotion and a raise. Go London.

Construction has damaged a lot of businesses in this city....take Lambeth for example...3 years of construction on Main Street and still not finished
