Physicians simply need to park their egos and their obsession with the hippocratic oath and band together to form a union which represents them comprehensively, from Washington DC to the Insurance Industry to their local Medical Boards, the latter which operate lawlessly and entirely without oversight. I've met more than one great physician who has been irresponsibly reported to the Board and, for their apparent want for statistics, been thrown under the bus without any representation. A well informed lawyer has a shot but not much. I'm not talking about the rogue doc but rather the many who work their butts off only to have some asinine and baseless charge get them thrown to the curb.
