It was the play most everyone remembers, those who are old enough, that ended years of bad luck and frustration and began the run of playoff years and Super Bowl victories. It was like the Almighty had smiled down upon this franchise, finally, and this play christened in a new era of Steeler football and a new identity for this beleaguered organization and the people of western Pennsylvania for all those years of misery.
