Do you 'hide' your study system/organism when submitting a paper to a more general journal

On a personal level - most of my recent higher impact journal papers have been multi-species/multi-taxa studies or theoretical - but looking back, I find that I always put in birds into the title when I was just writing about birdy topics. So, I seem to have been "honest" in your terms, which was intersting to me - i thought I probably hadn't been!

But also, the two first papers you mentioned are just the sorts of papers I am interested in, and not interested in which taxa, so i have just written off for pdfs from the authors! I'm currently working on reviewing general principles of various aspects to do with connectivity and dispersal, so they were spot on for me.
