Marianne shined last night- her words have impact! She is the most Progressive running and the most authentic!

The moderators needed to shut off Warren’s microphone. They allowed her to continually interrupt, and she restates the same thing over and over

Sanders won, he tirelessly fights for what is right and just. He could retire and enjoy his hard earned money, but he cares to much about people to go out without a fight. He’s got the voting record and the experience to be a great president. Anyone that doesn’t like him because of his demeanor doesn’t have enough information to understand why he is the most obvious candidate to move forward in improving peoples’ lives. He moved the Overton Window dramatically with his last campaign for president and is basically the author of today’s modern Democratic Party agenda.

Williamson not only won the debate, he proved to be the most down to Earth, real and visionary; as well as inspiring. As the only non-plutocrat, non-politician, on the stage she faced systemic discrimination from the moderators; getting fewer questions, fewer questions that demanded follow-ups, as well as fewer questions than others that were directed toward her competitors, so there would be an engineered exchange- sadly.

I think Mayor Pete, Warren & Sanders all made a lot of sense. Pete is calm, but firm. I really thought no one had enough time to answer questions, though.

Bernie crushed this debate tonight. Warren came in second. What i find most interesting about this debate is that everyone on the stage was struggling with Bernies bold popular liberal policies They know he is the only one who speaks to and backs all americans with solid plans to control the economic, racial, environmental inequality that is destroying this country and planet. How can you debate a candidate like Bernie who has fought this fight over the last 30 plus years? Warren was a republican at one point in her career! Bernie is the only candidate that will beat trump and make the government work for the people instead of working for corporations!

Thirst people who are actually saying Marianne Williamson won the debate either did not watch it or are just Republicans trying to screw up the results! I liked Pete and Delaney because they actually said things that were realistic and would stand up in a general election. You Bernie backers love his passion but do not seem to care that he has no chance in a general election. The only way Trump wins the election is if Democrats go so far left that Independent s and unhappy Republicans are too freaked out by such radical economic destructive ideas (which sound great but will not work and have zero percent chance of getting through either house if Congress) that they decide status quo of trump is less risky then Bernie or Warren. Hopefully the Dems will not play into Trumps hand by nominating one of them. I would’ve OK with Biden, Pete, Klobuchar, Delaney, Beto, or Bullock, but not Sanders, Warren, Harris or Gillabrant because they will get Trump re-elected.

I can't tell how many are trolling Williamson, but out of the socialist dem wing, I think she might have actually won. She did what Bernie and Warren couldn't do on the question of making college free for all including the wealthy children. Not only did she actually answer that, but she actually had an intelligent answer! That anything we do to help people stimulates the economy. (Now I would counter by saying they're going to college anyway, this is not the best use of the money, also free college devalues a Bachelors degree, pushes more people to get Masters which is where the real debt problem is and thus possibly makes student loan debt worse. But she did what the others in the socialist lane couldn't.)
She also indicated that a Constitutional Amendment would be needed for several of her and their plans. Correct and intelligent. That could you actually get 3/4 of the Senate or the states to pass the amendment, that's delusional.

Bernie Sanders is the man hands down. If you remember his story on taking people to Canada to get cheaper Insulin 1/10 of what we pay here. A flawless fatality it is his time.

If you're a Bernie or Warren homer or on the far-left, about 18% of the electorate, you think one of them won. The rest of the country will think Delaney or Bullock won for the most part. That's among the Dem's of course. Trump and the GOP were the real winners (especially Trump's desire to fight a Trade War, wow! the Dem's want to do that, just differently.)

Tonight was the Socialists vs Labor Dems. Everyone else fell away. Beto was horrible, time for him to get out before he ruins his political career. Ryan paled in comparison to Bullock and Delaney. Buttigieg spoke a lot and said little. Klobuchar was flat and her closing depressing.

Delaney and Bullock only need a two-point bump to jump to 6th above Beto and really into the race. 20th->6th is very doable. So there's hope for the Dems to beat Trump. Polls are showing Biden & Sanders plummeting in the polls vs Trump. (both -8 since pre 1st debate poll) All other Dems (who are polled) are now losing to Trump in the polls. Deny it at your own peril.

Marianne Williamson took control and won the debate

  • Ben - 5 years ago

Marianne Williamson is going to win the nomination and then the election.

  • Laura Rogers - 5 years ago

Beto is not as progressive as Bernie and Elizabeth but he isn't nearly as moderate as Biden. Beto and Pete are more electable than Warren and Sanders.

  • Fred Anzevino - 5 years ago

Bernie definitely has the gravitas-All the good policy is his-he's the father of most of the Democratic agenda today!

  • Jay - 5 years ago

I liked Steve Bullock. His first debate and he did well. Pragmatic and a great candidate to go against Trump.

  • Olgeezer - 5 years ago

    Warren and Bernie were great.
Delaney is just like his Wikipedia page says...DOA.
thought Williamson was going to break out with a Beatles rendition of "all you need is love"
They need to get the clutter off the stage.
No more then 5 candidates on the stage so we can hear some more in depth answers and debate
instead of petty sniping by candidates trying to remain relevant

Bernie Sanders has consistently fought for all of our rights. He has no bias and has proven to work himself to the bone for the betterment of the American people. This man has fought for decades for equality for all. I love that he sees what works in other country's and thinks "Why not us?". I'm glad he holds pharmaceutical companies and wall street accountable for their greed AND has never accepted donations from any Large company!! Truly respectable! I'm glad he fights his points with class and does not pick apart his fellow opponents. This man is an absolutely stand up citizen and I truly hope he wins this election! Go Bernie #Iwrotethedamnbill

Bernie consistently talks about what's important, and his voting record and history match his speech (unlike so, so many others). I will not vote for anyone else.

  • Linda Roethke - 5 years ago

Bernie and Warren. I like them both, and I love what Williamson had to say.

  • Mike - 5 years ago

Williamson was surprisingly good on reparations. Buttigieg had the best line about Republican branding. They’ll label the most conservative Democratic candidate a screaming socialist, so ignore the branding. Sanders and Warren made their case for progressive policies and did a surprisingly good job circling their two wagons to fend off the centrists. Biggest losers were the moderators for negative questions and trying to get candidates to go at each other.

  • Taryn DeCicco - 5 years ago

Marianne Williamson has the guts to address what's really going on with every issue.
    Each candidate is impressive.

  • Chris - 5 years ago

Donald Trump will win re election .. the Democratic party has no one to Beat him ..

  • Joe - 5 years ago

Bernie won hands down! He was the only one to direct people to his website, so because of that I made a donation! Great job Bernie!

  • Chas - 5 years ago

Klobuchar strikes me as a Midwest pragmatist who would win the states that gave Trump his narrow win.

Marianne won tonight with her plans especially paying repriations to descendants of black slaves

"I wrote the damn bill..." Bernie's message has been clear and consistent for years, he doesn't flip flop according to where the wind blows. He's a strong candidate, a strong legislator, and a respectable, decent individual who truly cares about all the people in this country, not just the ones who can throw the most dollars his way. He will make an awesome president.

  • Julia - 5 years ago

Pete Buttigieg is appealing to me more everyday. I like his views and believe he can show Trimp how a US president should behave. Very presidential.

  • Kevin Miller - 5 years ago

Sanders had the crowd on his side followed by Williamson. Buttigieg showed why he should be in the third round. Biggest loser tonight was Warren I’m so far that she had a lot to lose and couldn’t differentiate herself from Sanders as much as she needed to.

  • Jen - 5 years ago

Sanders was - and has been - consistent, courageous and direct to the important points. Enough of “good speakers” that when elected, compromise and don’t deliver. Sanders won’t compromise. And his plans are brave and honest, what America needs now.

  • Liz E - 5 years ago

Bernie and Warren were pretty much tied for me. I will vote Bernie no matter what, but I’m liking a lot of the candidates. I just wish they all were not running at the same time! I would vote Sanders, Warren, Buttigieg, Williamson in that order. We can only pick one. Really a lot of things that the candidates Bernie has been saying for a very long time and I believe in that commitment and authenticity. Bernie all the way!!

  • Michelle Inauen - 5 years ago

They were all impressive. I am proud of them all.

  • Caden Stearns - 5 years ago

“I wrote the damn bill.” Enough said.

  • David Ortiz - 5 years ago

Who the hell cares if Bernie is always angry and yelling? Man talks POLICY! Bernie is principled and consistent.

  • Vladimir - 5 years ago

I want a fighter who has the receipts!! I want Bernie

  • Tyler Peshoff - 5 years ago

DELANEY WAS AMAZING TONIGHT! He now has my vote!

  • Janet - 5 years ago

Pete Buttigieg also stood out tonight for me

  • Janet - 5 years ago

Marianne is still too flighty for me, but she appeared more grounded tonight. Bernie is always yelling and angry. No surprise there. Delaney stood out to me tonight.

  • KAREN RESNICK - 5 years ago

I TRULY ENJOYED MARIANNE WILLIAMSON.....I FOUND HER A CLEAR, DIRECT AND GOOD SPEAKER....I ENJOYED HER COMMENTS..........MY BIG DISLIKE WAS BERNIE SANDERS, HE LOOKED VERY STRESSED HIS FACE WAS BEET RED AND HE WAS NOT TALKING, HE WAS YELLING.....ALSO, I DO NOT LIKE BERNIE'S PRESIDENTIAL IDEAS......I BELIEVE HE WAS THE WORST CANDIDATE......
