Like lj stories as well as all the novellas? With other characters storylines but still prefer Jamie storylines best.....his sense of humour is the best...was only disappointed by the Geneva bit...his finding a way out of that would’ve been better esp since Wms been made into a carbon copy of Jamie/Too many similarities were added: seasick, left handed, redhair below the head/ seems unfair to Bree whom I’ve come to like.....prob bc she’s more like her da than like Claire. Noticed in trailer that Claire is still doing that whispery schoolmarm old lady thing acting like she’s smarter than everyone else like s4. Hope it’s just the trailer clips and there’s some actual laughter in parts of s5. Enjoy the bits with Bree n Jamie n looking fwd to seeing him with Jemmy (and Mandy). He’s always fun with all kids in the books and actually teaches them how to be decent humanbeings.

I enjoy all of the LJ books but especially the ones that include or even mention Jamie. They give a glimpse of what was happening during those 20 yrs that Claire was gone. Not all of them of course but some. Plus LJ and his family are very interesting all on their own! It makes us realize that like Jamie LJ is an honorable man a good person and like Jamie he tries to take care of those he loves. We don't see all of that in the Outlander books!

I tried to read them years ago and couldn't get into them, but after David Berry came along, I just fell even more in love with the character and had to go back and try again. This time, I LOVED them!

As with all Diana’s main characters, Lord John is multifaceted and utterly fascinating . He relationship with Jamie and indeed all of the Fraser clan, clearly illustrates a man of integrity and honour.. He is a significant character in the Outlander story and his contribution to it profound. It’s quite clear that Diana likes men(what a refreshing change in this day and age!) He is yet another significant character in the extraordinary Outlander story. I love him almost as much as Jamie. To paraphrase Brie, it’s impossible not to like him!

I think they are very clever detective stories and interesting social history. Enjoyed reading them between the main books. I like the way they link in to the main story.

Love all the smaller books. They enrich the characters with their added “backstory”.
