VOTE: Mansfield News Journal Female Athlete of the Week (Poll Closed)

  • Ontario’s Carleigh Pearson did it all for the Lady Warriors in a 3-0 volleyball win over Clear Fork as she collected five aces, five kills, one assist, eight digs and 17 service points.

  • Mansfield Senior’s Addyson VanHouten collected 16 saves in a 2-1 win over Marion Harding last week to help the Lady Tygers pick up a nonconference victory.

  • Ashland’s Karli Shepherd collected 13 kills in a 3-0 win over Mansfield Senior in OCC volleyball last week. She also added six aces and seven digs to help the Lady Arrows keep pace in the OCC race.

  • Clear Fork’s Trinity Cook scored four goals in two Lady Colts victories last week in which they outscored their opponents 10-0.

  • Crestview’s Zoe Metzger collected 86 assists in three matches last week helping the Lady Cougars go 2-1 for the week. She also added 11 digs, four kills, five aces and 21 points.

  • St. Peter’s Kyrah Williams made two game-winning plays last week scoring a go-head goal in a 2-1 win over Mapleton then adding a go-head assists in a 5-4 win over Loudonville.

  • Ashland’s McKinley Mendenhall scored two goals last week. One in a 1-0 win over Findlay and another in a 6-0 win over Mount Vernon which netted the Lady Arrows the OCC title.

  • Madison’s Shannon Jamieson scored her first career goal in a 4-2 win over Ontario scoring late in the second half to put the game out of reach.

  • Ontario’s Abby Potter recorded a hat trick in an 11-0 win over Pleasant which gave her head coach, Larry Atkinson, his 200th career win.

  • Crestview’s Kathleen Leeper scored six goals in three Lady Cougar wins last week including all three in a 3-2 MBC tournament championship win over Mansfield Christian.
