Having a worn out pair of original airpods (left ear only gets about 50 min of battery life) and bought a few low cost clones from aliexpress im pretty sure that real airpods are overpriced considering what is available in the entire true wireless earbud market.

No, one big reason I got them is because I can listen to music and still be aware of my surroundings.

I’m waiting it for 3 years!!

Yes, if the charging case is at least close to similar to the original airpods. To be honest, that's the biggest disadvantage of literally any full wireless earpods besides the AirPods.
I've bought the AirPods because they are so stupid easy to just throw in the pocket and have them at hand if needed. Very much like the saying with the camera goes... the best one is the one you actually carry.

Yes, I will buy noise-cancelling AirPods as soon as the batteries start to die on my current AirPods.

I wear in-ear hearing aids. The classic AirPod works well. An in-ear AirPod would necessitate the removal of hearing aids so I would not be interested. Since I am legally blind I listen to everything my iMac will read to me as well as about three audio books per week.

I prefer to have the airpods without noise cancellation. Part of their appeal is being able to leave them in and still be aware.

Gave up in the original AirPods....they don’t fit my ears. Simply awful. I bought a pair of Jabra Elite Actives instead but I would upgrade if Apple came up with something better.

Love my AirPods... have had them since day one and they still work, although of course they don’t hold their charge for as long. Not a big fan of in-ear squishy adapters... I get it that it’s good for fitting different sized ear drums. I fall into the category of AirPods design & shape fitting most people’s ears. And they stay in my ears even when I’m active. I don’t need noise cancelling, as I like to be situationally aware of my surroundings. Maybe on a long flight that would be nice! I didn’t like Apple’s noise cancelling in-ear buds from several years back... everything the cables moved or when you speak to someone the sound is amplified and very annoying. Can’t run with them because the cord (cables) jostling around are very amplified and disruptive to to the music or audiobook or whatever. Even touching the buds make amplified sounds in your ear. would have to find a way around this. Also... why shrink the stem, when that’s where the battery is?! Everyone wants longer battery life! So, I think if wants to introduce noise canceling, that’s fine as an option in the AirPods lineup but not fine as a replacement to the currents ones. Even if you can turn off noise cancelling, I want to stay with the original “classic” AirPods! In addition, needs to implement a recycle program for AirPods like they did with iPods... turn in your old pair and get 10% off a new pair. They should do this with ALL of their products, down to the accessories and cables.
Yes, but only if they also had a big jump in sound quality. I would love airpods with noise cancellation and a sennheiser like sound stage.

I should have added that with hearing aids I obviously cannot wear anything that goes into my ear canals. There’s no room lol

The current Apple AirPods style are the only in ear solution that work with hearing aids and sound good. Over the ear make squealing noises.

My ear shape does not allow me to be able to use the current version of AirPods , Therefore, I would be one of the first people in line to buy the in ear version.

I’d change my AirPods only for water proof AirPods.

I mainly bought Airpods because they are the only option without in ear cups, which for some reason hurts my er canals like crazy

Price would certainly be a big consideration, but I use my AirPods a lot for calls and I find noise-cancelling headphones are terrible for calls.
Petri Rautsi - 5 years ago
Maybe. Depends on the fit and ease of use, sometimes in ears are a pain to use. Price is also a factor.

Price will be a factor, but, when my current ones wear out, then I’ll probably buy...mostly for the water resistance as I use primarily for running

Depending on fit.
