I have been a fish lover all my life, so my favorite lunch food was the school version of the Filet-o-fish with the cheese slice built in. I wouldn’t eat that shit now, but as a kid, I liked it.

I hated the tacos because those shits was greasy and nasty.

I used to live for pizza days. That square slice of pizza was everything. We used to get what they served us, now these kids have options. My daughter's school serves pizza every day as one of the options. And taco day was banging too. Now this kids have whole ass taco bars. We used to just get a shell with some meat and a little cheese and lettuce. These kids don't know how good they have it now.

School Jamaican Beef Patties were very good. Kinda want some right now.

I voted something else to show proper respect to mexican pizza. I miss that bright orange cheesed, oblong shaped piece of goodness.

French Bread school pizza is still undefeated!

I’m certain it was full of enough carbs and grease to make Michelle Obama show up ready to trash it all, but darn it, it was good!

Runner-up was chicken nuggets - so long as they weren’t overcooked to the point that they became inedible projectiles.

Elementary school lunch sucked, except for the grilled cheese and soup. It also sucked because as a little kid I always had to double check with the cafeteria lady what was in the food, to make sure I didn't accidentally eat pork. So most days I’d pack my lunch.
Middle - high school fried chicken days were the BEST! Hot sauce on every table, often we got a brownie for dessert. Unfortunately, fried chicken days were also the days most fights would breakout. I’d pray that one wouldn’t happen during my lunch break so I could actually finish my food.
Coincidentally, the BK impossible burger taste like an elementary school lunch burger. So if you miss that stale mystery meat taste get yourself an impossible burger.

I’m with Alicia. They always seemed to get breakfast right. But the eggs looked and smelled wretched. The waffles and pancakes were slamming but if you only had a little bit of money to stretch like I did you got a decent breakfast and just made due with whatever lunch for the price of your leftover change. Sometimes it was good. Sometimes it was blehhhhhhh. Chicken nuggets or kitten nuggets as we called them (lol) were okay enough. The turkey sandwiches were aight enough. But the fries at our high school were SLAMMING.

    Hi guys,

Milwaukee Public schools had bomb ass mock chicken legs, which was veal in the shape of a drumstick, with mashed potatoes and chicken patties that were so big I will assume those shits weren't chicken either. Never miss lunch on those 2 days.

    Peace,
    Turq
