It would not be wise to ban adults because of bratty children. Last time I looked I still had a pallet. Besides Illegal THC has an absolutely nothing to do with vaping. The media has made this worse by all the lies and false news. Put the kids in jail and take down these illegal corner store black market THC vitamin E producing Vape products. And leave us adults with pallet to run legal Vape shops alone.

Stupid kids vaping vitamin E heavy THC juice, getting sick, then everyone gets a blanket tax on our alternative's to ween off cigarettes. If you raise the cost of vape juice, more and more people will just keep smoking cigarettes.

Not only does the health benefits of switching to ejuice vs tobacco seduce would be quitters, the cheap, quality ejuice seduces those with savings aswell.

The longterm risk factor of smoking cigarettes is by far greater than of those who use quality ejuice (if you vape THC your 'pants on head' anyways)

Why ban / overtax something that does by far more good than harm?

This is a cash grab, plain and simple. Let's conflate two issues to create a panic, to justify a new tax. Where is this new tax money going? "The government would never mis-spend tax dollars" said no citizen ever! What good does a new tax on one product have to do with fighting illicit street drugs?

Sure punish the people who vape by taxation! How's that worked in the past? Governments profit and kids still vape! Most of their money comes from parents! Yet another money grab by politicians to solve the issues! They created this mess and now we have to bail them out?

It is the duty of every adult -- including government -- to protect children from making choices that will addict them, cause them to suffer debilitating diseases, and die an early death. Every kid thinks they are Superman or Superwoman, and that nothing can harm them.

For you that think that people should be allowed to vape then perhaps you pay their medical bills to treat the lung damage. There is medical evidence.in the US
If used properly for smoking cessation that is one thing but that is not what vulnerable teens who are the ones experiencing the damage are using it for.

I believe our politicians SERIOUSLY need to look at the true scientific evidence of harm reduction. Vaping is a healthier alternative to cigarettes and has kept me smoke free for 2 years. “Fake news” creates a panic and before you know it we have an apparent epidemic. Parents need to be parents! So called “youths” by the government, will try and get away with whatever they can. I was a “youth” once and my parents didn’t rely on the government to parent me. As a parent myself I can see changes in my children as I’m involved with them, communicate with them and educate them about life. Increasing taxes will turn people back to traditional cigarettes. Possible flavour bans will turn people back to traditional cigarettes. Limiting the nicotine amount is a viable option as “youth” are only going after a nicotine high. They don’t care about flavours. The governments surveys are inaccurate on every level. They should be discussing with the vaping industry to get the whole truth and make the proper decisions on where to move forward from here. If the government wants a smoke free Canada, they need to stop targeting the harm reduction tools that so many have used to save their lives as well as loved ones. Hundreds of thousands die each year from smoking related illnesses. By all means, let’s target vape products which have saved hundreds of thousands each year. Bottom line is the government wants their piece of the pie like usual. Pathetic!

I think we are going too far in putting bans on things deemed not good for people. Who are we to decide what an ADULT can choose to use or not use and tell them that because it may be bad for their health, based on limited data, they can't do it? Drinking wine is not healthy for unborn babies and yet, is there a ban on wine? ... NO! Some people can drop dead from just inhaling peanut dust in the air but have we banned peanuts in our beautiful city? ... NO! Let's just advertise and have "raise awareness" campaigns warning people and leave the CHOICE up to the individual. We each are blessed with the FREEDOM of choice - good or bad, it is still our own personal choice.

The wilfully ignorant media and politicians behind this vape ban are disgusting. 10 min of google fu and any antivape campaign has no legs. I will not support any organization or government that would seek to dictate my freedom of choice, we vape we vote and do not kneel to tyranny .

Why do you want to punish a harm reduction program for smokers, that reduces the second and third hand smoke in the household and work place, not just helping the user. Further, bus shelters have never been a place that teens hang out and 20 mg / ml causes new issues as 24mg is the highest level available in Freebase and what about nic salt. Nic salt juice starts at 50mg and goes down to 0mg but the scale of effect is different.
