Chad Kelly is not be used for his talent. There are a number of teams that are missing out on his talent. When given the chance he will prove him self.

Kelly,Kelly,Kelly need I say more I’m speaking for thousands! you can’t keep a rascal Irishman down! I like bad boys.they get a lot more done if they can stay out of jail.He was the only one that gave a real good pre-season exhibition!

Kelly has his foibles to say the least, but why the hell is he on the team if you never plan to play or evaluate him? Forget the eight excellent NFL preseason games he's put up and his obvious arm talent and pocket skills; the guy ripped SEC defenses to shreds on a weekly basis at Ole Miss. Hey Reich: give Nick Saban or Minkah Fitzpatrick or Roquan Smith or Miles Garrett a call and ask who your QB should be, since they all lost to him. Or maybe Dak Prescott, whose Mississippi State team Kelly blew out. You'll get a unanimous vote.

Why do I get the feeling we are so bad at seeing talent.hooker and Wilson couldn’t cover my grandma.brisset takes to long to throw the ball. He’s also to slow on foot speed. I’ve seen a good team get progressively worse. Most of its coaching poor decisions.the person in charge of evaluating should be fired. I want to be in the playoffs and give my team a chance . You can’t trade away top draft picks fora bargin.and when sertain top players are available pick them up. Like Mack from the raiders.what a genius.

Chad looked great in preseason. Off the field carry over from previous years aside....What’s the worst that could happen? We might win a couple games and end up with a quarterback controversy going into to the off season....I’m ok with that.

I hope you guys keep Brisset, never make the playoffs, Chad Kelly is to much QB for the colts. Saints need to pick him up, future SUPERSTAR

  • Don - 4 years ago

Brissets not a starting. Qb, should be better than he's playing with sitting behind Andrew. We need a top teir quarter back not a high school QB. Need wr to help ty

I think we need to draft a QB high high rounds.. These guys are hitting the field out of college with little tutoring and hot the ground running.. Look at Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, Pat mahomes of Kansas City.. The kid out of Tampa Bay, it Buffalo bills, and the cowboy's QB.. LUCK and Manning was also ready to play.. We can't wait any longer.. Get your stud now, draft for other areas with the rest of ton picks in this up coming draft.. Indy fans.. Start watching this season college bowl games for your next starting QB.. and while you at it see if you can spot a kicker, return man, decent big men run stoppers, DE, Corners..

Simply put h*** yes start Chad

  • Dave Evans - 4 years ago

Let’s see what he can do. I think he can get the job done

I was all for JB at beginning of season. Maybe next year, but doubtful. Keep him next year, but find out what Kelly might have. Colts have too many basic problems to take QB in first round. Get a QB later, let them develop potential behind Brisset for a year. Give Kelley a chance now and in Preseason. Dump Hoyer somehow. I cannot believe how Colts have regressed. Get Glowinski out of starting role. Move Smith to Guard. Get a RT that is big and mean. Get a LT who can pass block and develop him. Develop the trenches first and WR after that. Old fashioned, but best way to rebuild.

I have said all year long, Chad Kelly should be our starting Qb. Brissett and Hoyer are complete bums!!! You could get 2 guys off the street that would be better than Brissett and Hoyer!!!!

  • Robo dong - 4 years ago

Yes, he should play, otherwise release the man and give him a chance somewhere else because it’s not fair to him to not at least get one chance to showcase his skills against starters. Also for the guy who said that he is Jim Kelly’s son, you’re wrong he’s actually Jim Kelly’s nephew, and to further out on your comments or Jim Kelly never won a championship. He played in for Super Bowls and lost all of them.

Let Kelly begin the Colts’ world domination NOW. He will not let us down.

    * p.s.
He needs a burner phone and a permanent handler off the field. But that will be worth the effort.

Chad kelly should start he earned a look with the starters to see if he is nfl ready.brisset is not a consistent accurate qb he needs work still on his craft maybe he can get it this off season but he needs to work with peyton.the receiver coach is clueless about his receivers route running and imroving their skills receivers coachs need to go.the secondary doesnt stay on the receviers leaves them completely open from start of the play to finish seems like children amoung men once again the secondary coaches cant even teach the basics but the cb and safteys should learned it many years ago thank heavens for the line backers front four needs to be bigger and fast.

Chad Kelly will never be trusted to be a franchise QB in the NFL based upon his history. If you play Chad Kelly now you can plan on Brissett being the Colts QB next year. Management likes him and won’t give up on him yet. For those of you who want him gone, your best option is for him to play the last 2 games. Not sit them out.

  • Ronnie J - 4 years ago

Chad looked good in preseason with second string, but he made quick decisions. Jacoby is average at best. We need Captain Andrew...

  • Rob Johnson - 4 years ago

The Colts gave their fan base fools gold last year. They hyped up Ballard and Reich. Turns out it was Luck. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy as a pig in shit Griffin and Pagano are gone. I just think the organization needs to look at itself from top to bottom. I’m scared they’ll stay with Brissett way to long like they did with Vinny this yea.

  • bill gause - 4 years ago

Lets give Chad Kelley a chance..We all want to see what he has got..I think he might prove to be a better QB than Jacoby Brissett...Go Chad!!!

  • Liam - 4 years ago

He can't be worse than what we've had. As others have said - we have nothing to lose.

  • Richard Pflueger - 4 years ago

Chad Kelly personal problems create to much risk to use him in a leadership role. The only reason he is with the Colts is his Uncle Jim. Team locker room is aware of his past. Colts have enough problems to fix.

  • David Thomas - 4 years ago

Yeah I think we need a change remember he comes from good stock.. his Dad was a Champion as well as a Hall of Famer ... Go out there and Show your Talent bro !!!!

  • David Lefebvre - 4 years ago

Kelly should start the next 2 games. Don't forget to note how our O line used to push people around, but lately they have not. The lack of faith in the qb is showing in the play of others. A renewed energy is needed lets see if Kelly can bring it on

  • Kevin Smith - 4 years ago

Agreeing with all the other dead on comments Chad Kelly has an opportunity right now to compete with the best.lm convinced that will make the difference NEXT year.

  • Devon - 4 years ago

I've followed Kelly ever since his days at ole Miss, talent wise I think he could be in the upper tier of QBs. Hes just his biggest obstacle, whenever he gets close he does something dumb.

  • gordon hanson - 4 years ago

Brisette looked confused and was at times very inaccurate. Taking the blame for errant passes doesent not help move the ball. Kelly has a 70 some percent completion rate and very good wheels. Lets see what he can do with the first team around him.

  • Matt Silvers - 4 years ago

Yes, if for no other reason than to evaluate Kelly as a long term starter or backup. Right now people are on the Kelly hype train. Let's find out if he can keep it on the rails. Brisset seems to be regressing, a few weeks looking from the sidelines might do him good.

  • Harry Mason - 4 years ago

Chad Kelly should get the chance to play and with some game time he will prove to be the quarterback the colts need. As long as he stays out of trouble and I think he will he will do well in the NFL. I think he is trying to put his past behind him. Give him a chance the Colts do not have anything to lose.

  • Larry Tovsky - 4 years ago

    ABSOLUTELY!!!!
The Colts have nothing to lose at this juncture.....plus
why risk further injury to Brisset’s left knee.
Also thinking out loud....have Chad’s Uncle, Jim Kelly on the sidelines....sort of a “Flashback” to the Frank Reich &
Jim Kelly days together at Buffalo.
This has the potential to re-ignite the fan base going into next season.
