My company generously gives us Christmas eve and Christmas day off, but I have to use my own vacation time for the Jewish high holidays. For any of you in a position of power, please consider giving your employees 1 or 2 days of religious vacation to use as they see fit, instead of tying it to the Christian-centered observance of Christmas. Thank you!

For me it's the Winter Solstice, because after that the days start getting longer again.

You didn’t list it, but my first thought (before I saw the options) was a snow day! Because they are almost always unexpected and still thrilling and have the mark of playing hooky for the day. I still love them just like a little kid!!
