Had anyone else ever noticed how when Elizabeth and Lucas are together everything is happy-go Lucky and giggly and is "picture perfect" so much so to the point that it feels very very fake? But when her and Nathan are together there are so many emotions and feelings flying around! Her and Lucas never scared, sad, angry, or frustrated when around each other, it's always happy happy happy that's all we get! And it just doesn't seem real at all, I'd hate to burst anyone's bubble but when it real love everything is never all happy and fairytales even when your not married yet, you share your feelings with each other the good and the bad and you have arguments, and you don't always agree, it's just reality. None of this do we see with Elizabeth and Lucas together, but you do with Nathan and Elizabeth! I can't count how many times the two of them have shared a little bit of their feelings and the way the feel, not quite so obviously but I'm little ways and it just feels soo real!! For instance in season 7 where Elizabeth takes he class on a field trip in the woods and there's a storm, Nathan is so worried about her and ends up getting upset that she went out looking for one of her students in the storm, it's because he deeply loves her, and was afraid of loosing her...yes I think Nathan overreacted a little, but it happens your afraid of loosing someone you love.
I think the reason Elizabeth likes Lucas is because he's a gentleman and was raised like her, which she hasn't been around someone like what she raised in quite a long time. This is not like Elizabeth to like someone like this....remember She chose to go to a small mining town far away from home, knowing full well life would be hard and there wouldn't be any men like what she was used to, and she was fine with that and furthermore she was all the more determined to make a way for herself in uncharted waters. If Elizabeth wanted to marry a guy who knew all the proper things to do and say, in the book she would've stayed in Hamilton, but she didn't she left and met Jack who is you remember they didn't always agree eitger, in fact for quite a while they disagreed a lot and made each others blood boil...a lot like Nathan and her do. With all that said I think Nathan is the one! We'll see!!_

He has totally stepped up his game, even compared to season 7. Not only is he super cute, but is so sweet to Elizabeth, and OBVIOUSLY is in love with her a LOT!!
I think she's really in love with him too, she just doesn't want to be honest with herself yet, and so what her heart wants! Yes he did keep the fact that he "knew of" (not knew him) Jack and that he took his place, but it wasn't his fault he didn't send Jack, his authorities did!! And Elizabeth and Lucas, keep saying they don't know why he his that from her?! Hello! Put yourselves in his shoes, he probably felt partially guilty for Jack's death even though he didn't send Jack he probably regretted making whatever mistake he did which caused him to be disciplined and ultimately put Jack in his place, not to mention after he started falling in love with her he felt like he was replacing Jacks memory which was what he said tonight!
I'm a little disappointed in Elizabeth in only this way, that she doesn't seem to be thinking about how Nathan feels at all hardly, she's so concerned about what it did to her that I don't think she's ever once stopped to think what it did to Nathan and how horrible he must have felt. He probably had survivors guilt, "people make mistakes" is what Elizabeth needs to remember.
Oh and is it just me or can Elizabeth not tell Nathan no because she loves him...
and has Nathan said I love you to Elizabeth 2 times (In the sweetest vway!) and Lucas hasn't said I love you once...Wow Lucas wow.

Nathan and Elizabeth were pretty much made for each other. God gave her Jack. Who was even better than nathan, but I think she feels safer with a mountie. She also needs a fatherly figure for little jack, a bar owner raising a child? No way! Nathan also has an obvious love for elisabeth, while Lucas is trying to buy her love, and she is just too polite to say no. Even Allie notices chemistry betweeN Nathan and elisabeth!

Nathan and Elizabeth are perfect for eachother. Their chemistry is off the charts and their relationship is real. I started season 6 wanting anyone but a mountie for her but seeing her with Nathan convinced me otherwise. I am team definitely part of #TeamGrantusafamily. Looking forward to season 8 and hopefully Nathan and Elizabeth's date!

I totally agree with Christine!!! Nathan is perfect for Elizabeth. Lucas is not trustworthy at all. And it's obvious he is only trying to buy her, and Elizabeth is to nice to not accept the gifts, or not talk to him because of all the things he gave her with his money. The whole point of the show is about a teacher and Mountie falling in love so...…. sorry Lucas! I'm sure next season, Elizabeth with go with Nathan on their date, and Lucas will fall for Fiona, the phone lady, and then Lucas will explain to Elizabeth that his intentions before were wrong, and that he found someone else (Fiona). then I think with Lucas taken, Nathan will finally step up more to Elizabeth, and same with Elizabeth. It will end with Nathan choosing Elizabeth. It's to obvious to ignore. I know lot's of people think she shouldn't go with another Mountie, or it will get boring with another Mountie, or he will die, but the chances of him dying in the show are very slim. I think at the end of the show... Elizabeth and Nathan will get married, then he will get posted someplace else, and they will move together as a family.

Genna I agree with you! The heart of Janette Oke's original story is the relationship between a teacher and a Mountie not a teacher and a gambler (Bouchard's label for himself; that's his heart). I see him trying to buy his way into Elizabeth's affections (unfortunately he seems to be succeeding; I think she has a bit of a blind spot where he's concerned) Nathan's heart is pure - no hidden agendas or motives, no deceit... what you see is what you get and despite his off the charts handsome drop dead gorgeous looks (sorry Bouchard) he's humble - he listens which means he's teachable; he isn't a braggart and doesn't show off like his rival. I also love his meekness not to be confused with weakness; care to guess how many times he's wanted to take a swing at Bouchard and didn't; that's meekness; strength under control. He's funny and despite the number of times his tender heart has been broken he still cares deeply for Elizabeth. Yes he's a Mountie (she looked at home in Nathan's arms in the finale) but I believe a perfect fit for her and if she would just choose him (sooner than later PLEASE) I believe he'll prove to be the best thing that's happened to her since Jack. There's an unpredictable fire between them whether it's in their disagreements or their chemistry (contrary to some opinions they do have it); the Christmas movie where Nathan helped put a decoration on the tree when she couldn't reach and in the library when the shelf fell... their hands accidentally touched... oh yes there's chemistry all right, they've just chosen not to show it anymore. As for the blended family, he's done a brilliant job raising Allie (I love their relationship) and would do the same for Jack. Also, I see a writing bond between Allie and Elizabeth and since she's been without a mom for most of her young life it would be wonderful for Allie to have one. One last thing, names have meaning hence my use of the surname of Nathan's rival; Lucas means "light" and that isn't how I see him. Since we're on names, Nathan means "Gift of God," Grant means "great" and Kevin means "handsome, beautiful. Sigh, the shoe fits!

Nathan and Elizabeth belong together. Clearly, when she ran into Nathan's arms, the way she hugged him tightly in front of all citizens of Hope Valley is the moment of truth. Rosemary told Elizabeth that she would know when the time came and this moment proved her feelings are stronger for Nathan and she made her choice. They remit wonderful chemistry together and I can't imagine moving forward with a storyline for Elizabeth without Nathan as her choice.

Lucas is the best choice for many reasons. They have similar interests and dynamite chemistry. I see no chemistry with Nathan. He might be a good guy, but he has a bad temper and controlling. Elizabeth does not need that. Let’s not give Nathan the sympathy vote just because he’s raising his niece by himself. Also, he has a dangerous job. Lucas is so caring and respectful of her. Another Mountie would be way too predictable. Please, writers, do the right thing!

I like Elizabeth with Lucas. They have chemistry and he is in touch with who he is and very encouraging toward her and her interests. As a potential couple they do not seem as predictable and not as boring as Jack 2.0 which is what the Nathan pairing would be if Hallmark goes the safe, predictable route. The books had Elizabeth with a Mountie - they tried that and Daniel left the show. With Abigail’s character is gone- Redemption and restoration worked well with growth in Bill’s character, Jesse, Pastor Frank and Henry Gowan was on his way. Lucas’s transformation, his life experience, education, travel has been a welcome addition to the show. After all Rosemary can’t know everything.

I think Elizabeth should choose Nathan, he's the better guy. He has her best interest at Heart and they compliment one another, especially the bond they share with Allie not to mention Little Jack. He helps Elizabeth and is very positive. I think they are yin and yang. Nathan adores them both and they would make a great Family. I think they're relationship would stand the test of time and they could even have more children. Not to mention Nathan is kind, courteous, and has a great Heart.

I really like Lucas. I think he really understands the creative side of Elizabeth. He encourages her to be a writer. Being married to a mountie was very heartbreaking for her. I like the way she has changed Lucas and brought out his softer side. I like how he lets her know that he really cares. Creating the library was a very thoughtful gesture. He seems to have a lot of the same common interests as Elizabeth.

Lucas is shady and a saloon owner, not fit for a teacher or step dad to Jack’s son. Shame on the show for trying to make him look reputable after bringing him in with mystery. Nathan would be great, suitable for her. If not, definitely not Lucas bring someone else to the show. I read future episodes, she choose Lucas. I won’t be watching anymore.

I think that if Elizabeth chooses Lucas over Nathan, then there will always be something deep inside of her, a big question mark and regret, Just like she felt when she chose Lucas to dance with, but then saw Nathan, and questioned her choice, "could I have been happier if I had made different choice?"

He really listens to her, and understands the way she feels more.
I also think that he encourages her to be herself and do what she wants to do in a different way, than Lucas does,
He's not as pushy as Lucas is, but still encourages her to be who she really is!
Also Nathan really really likes her, and I think Elizabeth likes him a lot too, she just doesn't realize it
Yet, although the more she's around him, I think the more she does realize it.
Nathan has his charms too, and they are not all as boring and dull as some people may think, he just expresses them in a different way, by being sweet, kind, and helpful, and always being willing to lend a open and listening ear whenever needed, and occasionally he'll have a playful, kind-of
Funny, and mischievous gleam in him.
Also him and Elizabeth kind -of quarrel and they both tend to be pretty stubborn, which always calls for a very interesting, and fun/intriguing relationship!
Both Elizabeth and Nathan are great with kids, and share a bond over Allie together!
Not too mention Nathan is way cuter! Sorry Lucas!

Lucas, not another mountie!!! Lucas can give her the life she had before. I am sure her parents and family would approve. She is a little gun shy but Lucas is patient, supportive, generous, and would be able to give baby Jack a great life. No more Mounties!!! No more Mounties!!
I think Elizabeth should choose Nathan, he's the better guy. He has her best interest at Heart and they compliment one another, especially the bond they share with Allie not to mention Little Jack. He helps Elizabeth and is very positive. I think they are yin and yang. Nathan adores them both and they would make a great Family. I think they're relationship would stand the test of time and they could even have more children. Not to mention Nathan is kind, courteous, and has a great Heart.
Elizabeth should marry Lucas. We've already seen her with a Mountie and it's time for something different not the same thing again. I also think there is more on screen chemistry between Lucas and Elizabeth so it would be crazy to have her marry Nathan.

How can you know for sure? Because I'm pretty sure Hallmark is not going to let you read about Season 8 or further when Season 7 still is not over......Just Saying.
I really like Lucas. I think he really understands the creative side of Elizabeth. He encourages her to be a writer. Being married to a mountie was very heartbreaking for her. I like the way she has changed Lucas and brought out his softer side. I like how he lets her know that he really cares. Creating the library was a very thoughtful gesture. He seems to have a lot of the same common interests as Elizabeth.
i hope she picks Nathan he needs her and she needs him they would make a good family Nathan knows how to raise a kidl
Lucas is shady and a saloon owner, not fit for a teacher or step dad to Jack’s son. Shame on the show for trying to make him look reputable after bringing him in with mystery. Nathan would be great, suitable for her. If not, definitely not Lucas bring someone else to the show. I read future episodes, she choose Lucas. I won’t be watching anymore.
Nathan is the best pick for Elizabeth..Remember HE MADE HER A PLAGUE..he didn't buy it, he made it. He has been encouraging and the more we learn about him, the more interesting his character becomes..Elizabeth was always meant to be with a Mountie, that's where her heart has always been

I think that if Elizabeth chooses Lucas over Nathan, then there will always be something deep inside of her, a big question mark and regret, Just like she felt when she chose Lucas to dance with, but then saw Nathan, and questioned her choice, "could I have been happier if I had made different choice?"
could I have been somehow more happy, be more free to be myself in every way? " Could I be more in love, with my whole heart and with no regrets if I had chosen Nathan? "
I think Nathan is the best choice, because,
He really listens to her, and understands the way she feels more.
I also think that he encourages her to be herself and do what she wants to do in a different way, than Lucas does,
He's not as pushy as Lucas is, but still encourages her to be who she really is!
Also Nathan really really likes her, and I think Elizabeth likes him a lot too, she just doesn't realize it
Yet, although the more she's around him, I think the more she does realize it.
Nathan has his charms too, and they are not all as boring and dull as some people may think, he just expresses them in a different way, by being sweet, kind, and helpful, and always being willing to lend a open and listening ear whenever needed, and occasionally he'll have a playful, kind-of
Funny, and mischievous gleam in him.
Also him and Elizabeth kind -of quarrel and they both tend to be pretty stubborn, which always calls for a very interesting, and fun/intriguing relationship!
Both Elizabeth and Nathan are great with kids, and share a bond over Allie together!
Not too mention Nathan is way cuter! Sorry Lucas!
