The GOP seems to be considering giving Americans "direct payments" to help offset financial difficulties brought on by COVID-19. Thoughts?
I think its funny Andrew Yang proposed a similar idea for a universal income, and was laughed at — and now the GOP is getting on board.
I think this is a fantastic idea. This will be far more effective than putting that money into government programs to be forever bound by red tape.
This is a $1 trillion-plus stimulus package. Whether or not I think this is a good idea, I'm worried about how much more debt this will put our country into.
I wonder how the government will make this equitable — I'd hate for this to turn into a way to give more to the rich than those who need the help.
I really think all this money would be better spent propping up social safety nets than giving it all to individual families.
