Bughead for life! I am going, to be honest, there shouldn't be any ship wars cause then both sides are being mature. But I feel that Jughead and Betty have been in so much together and they are clearly in love. Betty finally gets over Archie and he's going to come and take everything because his teacher lover didn't end well. Like betty should just take him back now that he likes her. Jughead is perfect for her and she deserves him. Veronica deserves Archie because she is always there for him and they just work. So I feel that bughead should be endgame and if it isn't we bughead shippers are going to have to deal with it. (I would cry tho tbh). Thats just my opinion :D

ok look. Bughead should be ENDGAME! With all the shipment between characters it should be; Choni, Varchie, Bughead. I know season 6 changes it all but lets be honest here. You know that scene in MEan girls where cady, regina, gretchin and karen are walking in a line and cady falls into the bin? CADY IS BARCHIE. i know tha some childhood friendships end up more but i don't like it at all. Betty and Jughead are great together, they compliment each other. I liked Bughead, but I’ve always wanted endgame to be Barchie. Varchie is low key obnoxious. I think Veggie, Barchie, and Tughead are great couples. They complement each other well. Veggie work together very well. They get stuff done and they have good chemistry. Tughead look out for each other. Jughead needs someone stable to help keep him grounded and she needs someone who is a little more in touch with their emotions to help her not be so practical all the time. And then there’s Barchie…Barchie is built on a long lasting friendship. They have always been there for each other and are so comfortable together. Plus they have chemistry. I think they have always loved each other.

THE SHOW WOULD SUFFER WITHOUT BUGHEAD! The entire story revolves around them being a badass mystery solving couple. They are so cute and Roberto said, and I quote: “It’s like bughead has always existed. It will always exist. And it is bigger than any of us.” There are so many bughead shippers that if they ruin it, majority of the fans will leave. Archie will never get in the way of bughead. Also, I know for a fact that Betty would never want to hurt Veronica and NEVER JUGHEAD. PLUS PLUS PLUS, If Cheryl says that bughead is endgame, (4x18) then it is most certainly endgame. The cast loves it, the fans love it, the creators love it. Jughead is the only one who can handle Betty's darkness. All I can say is bughead is endgame! Barchie has his time ok but I think it would be bad if they are put together when they had a chance. I would may ship barchie if they were dating and then broke up and bughead happened and then barchie got together but bughead should happen because they are better and they seem to be in love so much. I believe that Betty should end up with Jughead because they have been meant to be since the beginning. In the show, they make it look like Betty and Archie have a chance but when you think about it nothing and nobody is perfect. To them, it would be the boy next door and the girl next door which could look like the perfect romance but nothing is perfect. Betty and Jughead rarely fought, unlike Veronica and Archie which proves that Archie had more of a tough side and Betty is quieter and reserved beside her dark side. Betty and Jughead have multiple reasons to be together when Archie and Betty have less. They have been so consistent that in the end, nothing can break them apart especially not a confused redhead.

Team Bughead all the way!!! I know Betty had a major crush on Archie in the first season, but he rejected her! She moved on to Jughead (the better choice) and forgot about Archie. The only reason they kissed was because they were pretending so that Betty could protect Jughead! Because she loves him!! Can’t you Barchie shippers see that? It frustrates me so much to know people would rather have Betty be with Archie than Jug. That would completely destroy the show. It’s ok if you ship Barchie, but just know that Bughead is totally endgame. They are the iconic murder couple! The detectives! The couple from the very beginning! They have loved and supported each other through thick and thin. Betty even joined the Serpents, knowing she was putting herself in danger, to make sure Jug doesn’t get hurt! If that doesn’t scream “love” to you I don’t know what does. Now for my OTHER point— everybody loves Bughead! Cole, Lili, the directors, the fans... EVERYBODY. I strongly feel Betty and jughead should end up together and that’s because even though Betty loved Archie and he was his first love she really needs someone like jughead in her life who’ll be with her in thick and thin whereas archies always and forever gonna belong to Veronica at least that’s why I feel because one there was that little spark between them from the first episode of the first season and then ofc there parents have also had a soft spot for one another. Riverdale is no stranger to crazy twists and turns, and it just pulled the biggest one yet which puts a fan favorite couple in potential jeopardy. Could Riverdale survive without Bughead?
Riverdale has become known for its crazy twists and out-there plots. We’ve seen cult leaders with rockets, Archie fighting a grizzly bear and winning, minors owning an underground club and a secret rum operation, serial killers, and murderous nuns. And all of that is barely even scratching the surface of the insanity that is Riverdale.
Yet the recent episode of Riverdale delivered a twist that was somehow even more shocking than any of those. In the most recent episode, Betty and Archie get caught up in a moment and seemingly act on feelings that until one episode ago didn’t even seem to be there anymore. It was a moment we sort of saw coming and yet didn’t because it seems so out of character for both Archie and especially Betty.
Betty had unrequited feelings for Archie in the early days of Season 1 but after it was clear that Archie didn’t feel that way about her and was 100% into Veronica she moved on and found love with her soulmate Jughead. It was a huge part of her arc in Season 1, not only to move past her childhood fantasies but to also move past her perfect girl next door image and embrace who she really is.
Implying that she still has feelings for Archie or never really got over him regresses her character back to who she was at the start and erases all of her character growth over the past 4 seasons. That is a shame, considering she has become one of Riverdale’s strongest characters and she’s come too far to go back now. The writers need to let her move forward, not backwards.
Riverdale does like to tease the Archie/Betty pairing once per season to stir up some drama and pay homage to the comics but it’s usually been contained to one to two episodes and it never really amounts to anything. If the writers were aiming to write a slow-burn romance they missed the mark because while slow burns do take time and happen over several seasons they require consistent development, not a one-episode tease every time the show needs drama. The teasing of Archie/Betty would happen suddenly and then the fallout would happen and be wrapped up just as suddenly and the show would go on as if nothing had happened.
This time feels different though. There was no life and death situation this time to provide an excuse and it was no fake ploy as part of a plan. Granted tensions were high but Betty and Archie still acted of their own free will while both currently being in loving relationships with each other’s best friends. They cheated on their significant others after just recently reassuring them that no old feelings had been stirred up and not only does this damage both of their characters but it makes it very hard to come back from.
So what happens if Jughead and Veronica find out about what’s happening between Archie and Betty and decide not to forgive their significant others? Archie and Veronica have been separated and come back together before, and as a staple of the comics I’m confident they’ll never truly be gone, but could the show still survive without Bughead?
My honest answer? I don’t think it can. Like it or not Bughead has become one of the biggest defining features of Riverdale. On a show that thrives on relationships and mysteries Bughead are at the center of both. Not only are they one of the most popular ships on the show with a large and loyal fanbase but they are the investigative duo who actually move the story forward and solve the big mysteries.
Without Bughead what would the show be left with? With Archie and Betty essentially cheating on their significant others it’s hard to imagine that we would ever have the four of them happily in a

Bughead, obviously. I'm not gonna explain, I think it's plain and simple enough. I'm here to protect the Bughead stans from the accusations of being toxic. I get that you Barchies feel insulted by us but we have our reasons.
First of all, you guys don't understand us.You're not thinking on the same wave as us. And that makes sense, actually. Simply said - we love Bughead way more than you love Barchie. Now, I bet that all of you Barchies are gonna disagree and are feeling insulted, angry, but please don't be - it's the truth. You know why? Two main reasons. 1 - Bughead is simply better at an unbiased level/from an unbiased point of view. You don't know that, of course, as you have a negative opinion about the ship and can't see the arguments, the facts, all those positive points which outnumber the negative by many. But, in the meantime, Barchie's just not as good as Bughead itself so you can't love it as much as you'd love Bughead if you liked it. But us Bugheads - we love Bughead because it's our personal opinion but the ship is perfect itself so we love it even more.
Even you, Barchies, will be able to understand my second point easily. It's actually more of an explanation to why we're being "toxic". Well, we love Bughead so so much and as Betty's and Jug's relationship grew so much throughout the show, the way it developed, our love for the ship grew and developed too, and we became even more attached to it. But then some Barchies go in the way and beg for Barchie to happen and be endgame. At this point we become paranoic. We're afraid of the risk of losing everything we have just because of some people who want their surreal fantasies to happen. And, you see, the writers try to make you happy by giving you a few Barchie scenes and that scares us even more. Of course, this is at a subconscious level - otherwise we're all super confident Bughead will be endgame and all - but I think it perfectly explains why we're being "toxic". I think this just prooves two things - our love for the ship and the fact that we're imperfect human beings, just like everyone else.
There's something else, though. And it's a bit different. It's a thing that is actually Barchie stans' fault, not Bughead stans'. As you can see, Bughead will be endgame. All the signs are leading to that. The writers want that, the fans want that. Betty and Jughead have been through so much together. They've had their highs and lows, but their relationship still survived. They understand each other perfectly, they're always there for each other, they've got the same interests (is there anyhting more awesome and interesting and romantic than Bughead's investigations) and I can go on and on and on... And you Barchies are being super stubborn and keep wanting Barchie to happen! You should stop living in your fantasies and come back to reality. I have to say, you've got a big imagination... And, honestly, how could you keep asking for Barchie to happen while the majority of fans + the writers want Bughead? You're putting the writers under pressure! To be honest, you're being kinda selfish. Like, ship Barchie if you want but stop asking for it to happen.

Barchie already got a damn chance. Did none of you watch the first episode?? BUGHEAD was given a real relationship chance. Betty is the missing puzzle piece to jugheads life. Jughead has had no one outside of his family love him as much as Betty, AND they are both detective sleuths and have solved DOZENS of mysteries and murders with their undeniable chemistry. Veronica is exactly the feuding wildcard Archie needs, because she will stand with him against her own family. Archie is also NOT nosy to Veronica’s business so she can handle things without meddling.... but if it was barchie, Betty would have an extremely hard time coping because Jug will always help her with anything. Does no one remember when Archie doubted Betty, thinking that she could have hit Jug? My reasons to watch Riverdale are: 75% because of Bughead and 25% because of other Southside and Serpents and Cooper and Jones stuff. I literally don't care about anything and anyone else. If they're not endgame, I'm seriously quitting the show. Luckily, they're most likely to be endgame as both the writers and the actors LOVE the couple/ship and want them to be endgame. I am sorry Barchie shippers but BUGHEAD is everything to this show. Yes this show might be based on the Archie comics but this show revolves around Bughead. There is no way that the writers will stop Bughead just like that. I think Jughead. Bughead is my favorite ship, and I don't really like Barchie, but Barchie deserve more than just small scenes. I love Bughead. I think it definitely wouldn't make sense for them to break up right now. I mean Archie and Veronica in the other hand...to me their relationship will always be unstable.
Anyway. I think that in the end they will kill off Jughead. The story started with Jughead and it will end with him. Betty will end up with Archie after that. Not right away. It won't be disrespectful. It might be years later. I don't know what will happen with Veronica, maybe she will leave in the end, because she came at the beginning idk.

I liked Bughead, but I’ve always wanted endgame to be Barchie. Varchie is low key obnoxious. I think Veggie, Barchie, and Tughead are great couples. They complement each other well. Veggie work together very well. They get stuff done and they have good chemistry. Tughead look out for each other. Jughead needs someone stable to help keep him grounded and she needs someone who is a little more in touch with their emotions to help her not be so practical all the time. And then there’s Barchie…Barchie is built on a long lasting friendship. They have always been there for each other and are so comfortable together. Plus they have chemistry. The cast loves it, the fans love it, the creators love it. Jughead is the only one who can handle Betty's darkness. I believe that Betty should end up with Jughead because they have been meant to be since the beginning. In the show, they make it look like Betty and Archie have a chance but when you think about it nothing and nobody is perfect. To them, it would be the boy next door and the girl next door which could look like the perfect romance but nothing is perfect. Betty and Jughead rarely fought, unlike Veronica and Archie which proves that Archie had more of a tough side and Betty is quieter and reserved beside her dark side. Betty and Jughead have multiple reasons to be together when Archie and Betty have less. They have been so consistent that in the end, nothing can break them apart especially not a confused redhead.

Riverdale has become known for its crazy twists and out-there plots. We’ve seen cult leaders with rockets, Archie fighting a grizzly bear and winning, minors owning an underground club and a secret rum operation, serial killers, and murderous nuns. And all of that is barely even scratching the surface of the insanity that is Riverdale.
Yet the recent episode of Riverdale delivered a twist that was somehow even more shocking than any of those. In the most recent episode, Betty and Archie get caught up in a moment and seemingly act on feelings that until one episode ago didn’t even seem to be there anymore. It was a moment we sort of saw coming and yet didn’t because it seems so out of character for both Archie and especially Betty.
Betty had unrequited feelings for Archie in the early days of Season 1 but after it was clear that Archie didn’t feel that way about her and was 100% into Veronica she moved on and found love with her soulmate Jughead. It was a huge part of her arc in Season 1, not only to move past her childhood fantasies but to also move past her perfect girl next door image and embrace who she really is.
Implying that she still has feelings for Archie or never really got over him regresses her character back to who she was at the start and erases all of her character growth over the past 4 seasons. That is a shame, considering she has become one of Riverdale’s strongest characters and she’s come too far to go back now. The writers need to let her move forward, not backwards.
Riverdale does like to tease the Archie/Betty pairing once per season to stir up some drama and pay homage to the comics but it’s usually been contained to one to two episodes and it never really amounts to anything. If the writers were aiming to write a slow-burn romance they missed the mark because while slow burns do take time and happen over several seasons they require consistent development, not a one-episode tease every time the show needs drama. The teasing of Archie/Betty would happen suddenly and then the fallout would happen and be wrapped up just as suddenly and the show would go on as if nothing had happened.
This time feels different though. There was no life and death situation this time to provide an excuse and it was no fake ploy as part of a plan. Granted tensions were high but Betty and Archie still acted of their own free will while both currently being in loving relationships with each other’s best friends. They cheated on their significant others after just recently reassuring them that no old feelings had been stirred up and not only does this damage both of their characters but it makes it very hard to come back from.
So what happens if Jughead and Veronica find out about what’s happening between Archie and Betty and decide not to forgive their significant others? Archie and Veronica have been separated and come back together before, and as a staple of the comics I’m confident they’ll never truly be gone, but could the show still survive without Bughead?
My honest answer? I don’t think it can. Like it or not Bughead has become one of the biggest defining features of Riverdale. On a show that thrives on relationships and mysteries Bughead are at the center of both. Not only are they one of the most popular ships on the show with a large and loyal fanbase but they are the investigative duo who actually move the story forward and solve the big mysteries.
Without Bughead what would the show be left with? With Archie and Betty essentially cheating on their significant others it’s hard to imagine that we would ever have the four of them happily in a
Bughead, obviously. I'm not gonna explain, I think it's plain and simple enough. I'm here to protect the Bughead stans from the accusations of being toxic. I get that you Barchies feel insulted by us but we have our reasons.
First of all, you guys don't understand us.You're not thinking on the same wave as us. And that makes sense, actually. Simply said - we love Bughead way more than you love Barchie. Now, I bet that all of you Barchies are gonna disagree and are feeling insulted, angry, but please don't be - it's the truth. You know why? Two main reasons. 1 - Bughead is simply better at an unbiased level/from an unbiased point of view. You don't know that, of course, as you have a negative opinion about the ship and can't see the arguments, the facts, all those positive points which outnumber the negative by many. But, in the meantime, Barchie's just not as good as Bughead itself so you can't love it as much as you'd love Bughead if you liked it. But us Bugheads - we love Bughead because it's our personal opinion but the ship is perfect itself so we love it even more.
Even you, Barchies, will be able to understand my second point easily. It's actually more of an explanation to why we're being "toxic". Well, we love Bughead so so much and as Betty's and Jug's relationship grew so much throughout the show, the way it developed, our love for the ship grew and developed too, and we became even more attached to it. But then some Barchies go in the way and beg for Barchie to happen and be endgame. At this point we become paranoic. We're afraid of the risk of losing everything we have just because of some people who want their surreal fantasies to happen. And, you see, the writers try to make you happy by giving you a few Barchie scenes and that scares us even more. Of course, this is at a subconscious level - otherwise we're all super confident Bughead will be endgame and all - but I think it perfectly explains why we're being "toxic". I think this just prooves two things - our love for the ship and the fact that we're imperfect human beings, just like everyone else.
There's something else, though. And it's a bit different. It's a thing that is actually Barchie stans' fault, not Bughead stans'. As you can see, Bughead will be endgame. All the signs are leading to that. The writers want that, the fans want that. Betty and Jughead have been through so much together. They've had their highs and lows, but their relationship still survived. They understand each other perfectly, they're always there for each other, they've got the same interests (is there anyhting more awesome and interesting and romantic than Bughead's investigations) and I can go on and on and on... And you Barchies are being super stubborn and keep wanting Barchie to happen! You should stop living in your fantasies and come back to reality. I have to say, you've got a big imagination... And, honestly, how could you keep asking for Barchie to happen while the majority of fans + the writers want Bughead? You're putting the writers under pressure! To be honest, you're being kinda selfish. Like, ship Barchie if you want but stop asking for it to happen.

Veronica is exactly the feuding wildcard Archie needs, because she will stand with him against her own family. Archie is also NOT nosy to Veronica’s business so she can handle things without meddling.... but if it was barchie, Betty would have an extremely hard time coping because Jug will always help her with anything. Does no one remember when Archie doubted Betty, thinking that she could have hit Jug? Archie doubts things just like Betty and if the two were together it would just be a HUGE second guessing couple mess. Jug and Betty can conquer the world and Archie and Veronica can withstand any obstacle with their experience and love. If barchie happens, all the ships and lives will fall apart. And also, who tf will Veronica be with? JUG? ????

My reasons to watch Riverdale are: 75% because of Bughead and 25% because of other Southside and Serpents and Cooper and Jones stuff. I literally don't care about anything and anyone else. If they're not endgame, I'm seriously quitting the show. Luckily, they're most likely to be endgame as both the writers and the actors LOVE the couple/ship and want them to be endgame. Also, the fans obviously prefer Bughead. I am sorry Barchie shippers but BUGHEAD is everything to this show. Yes this show might be based on the Archie comics but this show revolves around Bughead. There is no way that the writers will stop Bughead just like that. Archie is only good for the part of betty that she shows on the surface (the good girl betty from the original comics) but with this new depth to Betty's character, jughead is the only one who can truly understand her and her inner darkness. Archie could never handle betty's true self.
