Are you waiting for the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard or is a standalone trackpad sufficient?

As soon as iPadOS truly supports external monitors - as in it doesn't just mirror the screen, but supports it as a second, full screen display.

I currently own a 2018 11” iPad Pro and a 16” MacBook Pro. Even though the MacBook has a built-in trackpad, I use a Magic Trackpad 2 with it. The reason for this is that I find that while typing my thumb inadvertently drags on the internal trackpad, causing the cursor to skitter across the screen. If I felt the need to use a keyboard and trackpad with my iPad, I would go with an Apple Smart Cover and Magic Trackpad 2.

The missing Touch ID is a dealbreaker for iPad Pro Magic Keyboard.

Will stick to the Magic Trackpad 2 along with Logitech’s backlit EasySwitch Keyboard for Mac and a hinged alloy stand for my 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 in an Otterbox Symmetry case and Apple Smart Cover.

Trackpad cursor still not perfect in iPadOS 13.4, some lozenges on websites don’t respond. Hoping Apple will work out the kinks in the next update.

Hoping that Logitech will come out with something similar for the 2018/2020 iPad Pro like the Combo Touch

10.5 pro will get Logitech Combo touch. I want keyboard with trackpad.

Brydge keyboards interfere with being able to swipe up in three examples I am familiar with.

The fix may be a march stick under the iPad with both the 11 and 13

I need to replace a 2015 MacBook 12” c due to an unfortunate incident. The dollars are a bit crazy for the Apple Magic Keyboard and IPad Pro together. I’ll be going MacBook Air.
