I had a pulmonology virtual visit (my regular 6 month checkup) 2 weeks ago by doxy.me that apparently is designed for medical visits.
The entire visit was questions about how I feel, plus he could visibly see me. But with this type of visit, the stethoscope and other hands-on tools and methods are the key part.
So, good to have a good visit, and he did refill a med, but not sure if I wasn't aware of a symptom to tell him, he'd never would have diagnosed it (like listening to lung or heart sounds).

Well, no visit. I had one cancelled, then a video visit scheduled which was cancelled "We are just going to call in another 90 days of your meds and reschedule 3 months out." Except they would not renew the one controlled substance even when I requested after finding it was not called in as well.

Well it was supposed to be a video visit but when the staff scheduled it they did not tell me I needed to have a high speed internet link. I was in my car with just the usual cell connection. So all we really had was a voice link. But that was all we really needed since it was a routine followup post a procedure that was done 6 mo ago.

I only have three scheduled appointments with my PCP and two scheduled appointments with my urologist per year.
I will see each of them in the early or mid summer. The appointments will require annual or semi-annual blood tests respectively.
As long as my health is good, this is my pattern.

I have not heard of Anyone I know who has done a synchronous visit. I have seen it promoted yet.

The video interface was only partially functioning.... and I ended up sending pix via my phone.
