.but it took on some real meat and became a really good show...the supporting cast..we got to know and fell in love with especially Diaz..love the guy..please reconsider..

My wife and I are extremely angry and disappointed at the cancellation of Tommy. It's rare when you get such a terrific cast and great writing, we felt for sure it would be renewed. Please reconsider this short-sighted decision and bring Tommy back next season!

It's obvious why Tommy is being cancelled. EVERYONE likes it. If it was lousy (like so many are) it would be renewed into the next decade.

WOW!! Such a huge blunder by NBC. My bride and I LOVE crime/drama, NCIS,Blue Bloods, Chicago PD, etc. But we really like the additional ligh-hearted, comedic to an otherwise dark genre. It was refreshing and enjoyable. Maybe one of the other independent networks will pick up this story!

My wife and I are completely shocked that Tommy has been cancelled. This is the only Drama on TV that interested us and it is a travesty that the network has let all of us who are hooked on a great storyline, with a superb cast, down. So much of what is on television is pretty lame, but Tommy was a nugget to be appreciated and allowed for discussion. Please reconsider this gross error in not valuing this treasure.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the NCIS's, Law and Order, Blue Blood, etc. but Tommy had a different vibe. Edie Falco did a great job and worked well with the whole cast. I hate most reality shows and really looked forward to Thursdays and seeing Tommy. I hope CBS changes their mind and if not hopefully someone else will pick up the show.

I waited for Thursday evenings to watch Tommy. I agree with other comments submitted it is great show addressing many issues of today. Please please reconsider and give all of us mature adults something interesting and intelligent to view on TV.

The finale was epic in my opinion & the casting spot on. As a women who had a black husband &!daughter then preferred women for partners this show was totally different than anything else on TV. It’s disconcerting that a show so above the rest in intelligence should be cancelled. Totally dislike reality shows & housewives . It was so easy for me to connect to Tommy the show & Edie Falco’s acting ability . So much potential for a long run on network TV !!!!!
I'm tired of shows being cancelled after one season. Oh yeah I forgot, everything is geared toward 20 and 30 year olds. Will they ever keep mature programs on the air?

Timmy wasn’t your regular superficial Cop show.
It dealt with many real life based social issues.
It simply boggles my mind how CBS couldn’t tell they had a winner.
I think advertisers and ratings would come around with a little patience.
Excellent writing, interesting plots, multi-ethnic cast of outstanding talent. Was hoping for future seasons, not a premature cancellation. Television needs programming for those of intelligence.

I cannot believe they cancelled this show! It is the only network show I watched regularly. Usually only watch msnbc and hbo. This was a great, smart, and well acted show. The characters kept me coming back. I’m so disappointed, and probably give up watching anymore network shows.

Looked forward to Tommy each week. Unique, fascinating story, with great potential for future episodes. Not given a fair chance. From the first episode to the final, there was a question of “Will TOMMY be cancelled or renewed?” Each Week I hoped the show would return and continue for more seasons. Tommy has a fantastic leading character and a wonderful
cast. The show continued to build on the the characters and stories Just needed the network’s support and show of confidence to reach the audience! Would love an encore presentation!!

My husband and I loved the show because it was NOT the same as all the other police shows. It was interesting and addressed some not so popular topics. It was all inclusive!

This was a wonderful show! As so many are commenting, do not cancel or PLEASE have another network pick it up! It was great to see a lead character with common sense and who stayed calm during a crisis.
I cannot believe they have opted to cancel this show. Of all the mediocre shows that could have been canceled they opt to cancel an excellent drama series. Very disappointing.
Tommy's cast ensemble is amazing! Each character has real life situations and lots of room to develop. Cancelling such a quality show is ludicrous! We have our fill of reality in the world especially during this unprecedented environment. Continuing to promote more so called, "Reality shows" are already corrupting quality television viewing. Bring Tommy back!

Thought the writing started on weak note. As the series progressed, it improved and found the show entertaining.
It was nice to see a women in a strong role, standing for ethics in a high profile public service position.
