Wow! I just binge watched all 6 seasons in one week. I became emotionally evolved with all the characters. It seems justice was served to everyone in one way or another, for the murders they committed, except for Nate. Nate is the only one who got away with two murders; even though Miller was innocent to a certain degree, and Xavier's seemed justified since he was a killer.
I never saw one actor cry so much as Annalise did. Viola Davis, and the rest of the cast were great.
I never understood why Annalise stayed with Sam for twenty years even though their marriage went bad very early on? I also never understood why Frank was so willing to do so much dirty work over the years. Clearly he repaid his debt early on as well. Frank was so lovable, but yet he had a scary dark side. Asher was lovable and annoying, but had a bad temper. I was surprised he turned and sided with his family. Bonnie was a good lawyer, but something was pathetic about her. Why did she stick around for so long?
Annalise, Frank and Bonnie were misfits with abusive pasts who needed eachother, I guess?
I loved the way the show throughout the six seasons addressed many controversial issues in the USA.
I loved all the twists and turns! How did they ever keep track of all the lies?
Connor and Oliver were the true love story. They were adorable! Oliver touched my heart.
    I will miss this show!

I never Searched explain ending to a show until this one. What an amazing ending. Usually I’m not impressed by season finales. This one made me cry.

  • Linda Williams - 3 years ago

I've just finished season 6 on Netflix in the UK. Honestly, it was one of the best endings I've seen. Viola Davis is stunning...and I got such a shock when Bonnie died, it made me cry. Loved the whole show, clever, slick, well acted...with a great little twist at the end...I will miss it!

  • Ellen Curran - 3 years ago

Brilliant series thoroughly enjoyed it. Need more like that. Will miss watching it.

  • Marikyn - 3 years ago

I loved the series. I only wish they would have spent a few more minutes showing us the characters later in life. Like how did Connor and Oliver find their way back to each other. Mckalya finding love and building a family Of Annalise ever found happiness

    Spin-offs?

  • Rick - 3 years ago

One of the best well written and well acted dramas in television history. So sad to see it end. But, the finale was one of the best.

  • Owen - 3 years ago

Amazinv TV series!! I feel sad though that it only has 6 seasons... Bonnie and Frank dying hit hard. They deserve more than that.

  • Carol Matheson - 4 years ago

This is the best series I have ever watched. I started watching it on Netflex after the series ended. Viola Davis is an amazing actress. She can cry at an instance. The entire cast were very talented. Every season was so exciting. The best was season 3 and 4. It kept you on the edge of your seats. Thanks for great entertainment. Sorry it had to end.

  • KIMBERLY D CONLEY - 4 years ago

EXCELLENT! BEST SERIES FINALE EVER! ONE question, who were the hands Annalise was seen holding over that time lapse. They seemed to keep changing but what did it mean? Was it the hands of all the men she loved and lost?
Also the flash of Annalise and Teagan dancing was awesome does that mean they ended up together? I did not see Teagan at the funeral...need closure on them.

SHONDALAND is where I want to be buried...Thank You!

This was one of the best season finales that I have come across. I truly enjoyed it. Job well done. It took me a few glimpses of Laurel and her son to put it together but I thought simply brilliant when I did. I will miss the show, but I did see a few glimmers of a potential spin-off! Hint hint

The final episode was by far brilliant and emotional for me. I was there with you from the beginning.
This farewell was worth the wait .

Oh also I wanted to comment, my heart sort of melted when Teagan told Annaleese that she’s in love with her. And again it appeared like they spent time together out dancing and living life. I was happy about that even though initially she told Teagan she couldn’t make her happy. But she did it seemed in the end.

  • T - 4 years ago

I loved, loved, loved, the season finale of HTGAWM, I was filled with a range of emotions I feel as well. I wandered and it appeared that Teagan and Annaleese spent time together and I was happy about that. There appear to be a scene where they were dancing and they look happy. I was super happy . I was sad that Bonnie and Frank died, I do think all the things that Frank had done in life had come back on him unfortunately, I had hoped Bonnie would’ve been able to have had happiness though. All in all I love the series and I was pleased with the finale.

It was heartwarming to see Laurel and Christopher at the end, it was interesting that he had a Spanish accent. It was nice to see Oliver and Connor reunited also. There was sad moments, happy moments, moments of relief during the season finale for me.

  • Gerri - 4 years ago

I enjoyed the finale but was very confused about Wes until this morning when I read what you wrote about it being Ees son. Thanks for that because that part really bothered me. I was sorry to see Frank and Bonnie die. And glad the governor got what she deserved as I felt she really did all she was accused of. All in all great tv shoe. Really loved that Annalise won and had a good life.

  • Jane - 4 years ago

Loved it. So did Laurel have her dad killed in prison? When she wanted Tegen to help her and she told her she had property worth millions???

  • Steve - 4 years ago

The HTGAWM finale was tidy, tho a bit confusing to a fault It did a great job wrapping up main character story lines but felt a little misleading with who killed Annalise year long query only to assume she died of old age. So no one killed her in actuality. It did a great job fast forwarding to see what happens to the remaining characters decades later and the Christoper story line was ingenious Frankly I had to watch the last 10 minutes 3-4 times To grasp what really occurred especially the Annalise and christoper wrap ups I wish that a couple of other characters had their stories expanded on for years later but was glad to see Nate get his wish and the Castillo’s die in prison soon after the trial HTGAWM did a better job than many finals wrapping up and fast forwarding All in all I’d say a 9 out of 10 Nice job Shonda !!!

I've watched How to get away with murder ever since the very first episode. The plots and twists and overlapping relationships, the mystery, suspense, the love, the raw emotions. That was just so excellent. And unlike most other series, this one answered the questions, while still providing mystery until the very last scene. But I really wish I had written down the quote about Only a fool leaves when he's standing in the sunshine. Maybe someone knows what the exact quote is. Thank you Shonda Rhimes, actors and crew. It's been a great ride. Peace.

Wow! Six seasons and now we have all the answers....I will miss the suspense and intertwining of all the characters. It was wonderful to see the characters evolve several years later! Viola Davis looked beautiful as an older Annalise without any wig. Great actors and story line... can’t wait for reruns.

  • Sondra Gail Adam - 4 years ago

25 minutes later, I’m still weeping thinking about it. Thanks for making such a great show. Thanks to Viola Davis and the rest of the wonderful cast and crew.

My favorite show for the last 6 years ! Always looked forward to Thursday night. The hour would always fly by ! Viola Davis has become my favorite actress ... and the rest of the cast is wonderful too. Great ending show that tied everything together. I had to read this to understand a couple of the ending results. But I LOVED the show !!

Excellent show! Going to miss it! Enjoyed the cast over the years. Viola is amazing—the closing argument scene was Oscar worthy! The death of Bonnie broke me! Perfect ending!

One of the best CW shows! This show kept me on the edge of my seat from season through season. I am going to miss HTGAWM. Most beautiful season finale despite the plot twist but because of its nature HTGAWM is the best. I learnt alot from this show . Thank you for such a beautiful show‼️

The finale was excellent and had a plot twist and surprise or two that kept us fans guessing. I'm really going to miss the show. It's one of my top three favorites. Viola Davis leads a great cast of brilliant actors.

  • Cheri - 4 years ago

I didn’t want it to end. Amazing how many loose ends tied up. So many questions answered Finally! Wes & Christopher were surprises as well as Frank. Loved Annalise’s closing argument. Authentic, vulnerable & believable despite her participation.
I’ll miss the tangled web AND I’m happy not to wonder anymore at the end. Shonda has kept me captivated for years. I’ll miss the entire cast. Thank you for all of the intrigue and valuable real life issues addressed.

That scene on the courthouse steps when Bonnie dies broke me! I'm glad this wrapped up a lot of questions and gave us a few great surprises!

  • Suze Miller - 4 years ago

I loved it, but couldn't wait to read the explanation of a couple of things: I did realize Frank was going after the governor and couldn't figure out who the Spanish Christopher was. LOVED IT!!!
