Kudos for creativity with the finale! I wasn’t a fan of the style of animation. Seemed off rhythmically, and the sketches were just kind of off putting.
I’d never heard of this show until about 3 weeks ago. Got so hooked I binged all 7 seasons????Can’t believe Liz is going to side with that horrible Katarina...regardless of Reddington’s true identity????. Katarina as much as told Liz that she’d put a bullet in her back if she even suspected betrayal on her daughter’s part. (If this woman even IS her mother ????)
Regardless of his criminal ways, Red has always been there for Liz. She’s turning into a very ugly character!
I really miss Samar and wish she and Aram could have stayed together. She was a great agent. Lots of edginess!
Her replacement hasn’t excited me in the least. She doesn’t seem to fit in at all. I was kind of hoping she’d stay in Alaska???? But it’s early, so who knows.
My biggest hope is that this series is going to end with season 8. Unless there are some epic new story lines, It must be time to reveal THE TRUTH. I’m a huge fan of the show. Love it, love it, love it.....but it’s time. 22 episodes is a great runway!
You’ve built up so much amazing momentum, here’s hoping for a conclusion that matches or exceeds your brilliance to date!

Blacklist has always been a favorite of mine. However, Season 7, Episode 19 was a total disappointment. The animation was a very bad idea. On top of that it wasn't even good animation. It compromised an otherwise great series.

Fail ,fail and fail i would rater wait for a real ending .Redington is the hero in this movie do not forget this ,Elisabeth get in place no !I will not follow this serie anymore if animated and Redington is played as weak .

Well done for giving us an end. That said I felt unrequited by the end so I probably could have waited. I love Red for all his flaws. Katerina seems evil and manipulative. She is such an unlikeable character. I simply don’t buy Elizabeth choosing her estranged mother.

Season 7 was overall amazing. The final episode would have been great if it had been a regular one. However we live in extraordinary times and given the situation that the world is in presently, the team did their best - an innovative way to finish the season- though not par with the regular one , thanks for doing this and release the season 7 . Look forward to Season 8- Hope we get all answers and more .....Keep it going

I was very touched by the willingness to evolve or adapt in our current situation. I am not fan of cartoons and also did not like the black outlines, but I loved the intent to finish a project and that such intent brought spontaneous genius to bring closure for this season. I am not 100% sold that Liz is in alliance with her mother, however one only has to see it from one's only eyes and mind and live in wonder!

I thought the finale was beyond an epic fail. The music was disgustingly loud and the constant switching between real and cartoon was distracting. Completely unwatchable for me after ten minutes. I would have expected better or nothing at all.

I am a fan of the show from the very beginning as well as James Spader on screen. Having a pandemic in the final shooting schedule, is unthinkable. I was surprised at the graphic novel approach to completing season 7. It was a creative solution to finish the storyline for viewers as well as support the health and welfare of the actors and production company. It would be a sad situation to lose anyone for future episodes.

Kudos to The Black List writers, producers and cast, very creative way to end the season in these unusual times, rather than leaving the fans hanging like many other shows did. Well done!

  • Kingsley Flint - 4 years ago

Liz chose the wrong side. Red is my hero, the whole point of the show.

Very creative approach to finishing the season. These are very unusual times and your approach was much better than many shows that have just done a long hiatus. Thank you!

I applaud the show for thinking out of the box to be able to complete this episode and provide us a finale. However, I am not a huge fan of the animation sequences. For me, nothing can replace James Spader on screen as Red in the flesh. With that said, I'm looking forward to season 8.

    total crap

Was my favorite show, but this stupid cartoon nonsense is just that. You mean you can’t find some lot somewhere to tape this. What Hollywood liberal thought this was a good idea.

I found the animation distracting. I didn't like the heavy black lines on people's faces - not my style of cartooning. I had difficulty following everything that was going on because of the constant switching back and forth. (I also think Elizabeth chose the wrong side - but that's a whole other story.)

The show was an EPIC FAIL. We have followed since the beginning, it did not even make sense that the cartoon thing would have been tried!! Please, don't do it again

I loved the creativity of blending the graphic novel into live action.
