think the show should allow more time in the end for winners and results..it's cut off too soon.. we watched all season for a winner and should have the time for viewers and winner to celebrate...

there's no color to a vote... it's for the voice and who moved us with that voice..Todd Toneisha and Thunderstorm were amazing and could have been a threesome tie...just be happy and not devisive..looking forward to next season of amazing voices... peace...

This is my first and last season watching The Voice. After seeing Thunderstorm lose to Todd, it became clear there's a voting bias. Thunderstorm's voice is magical and literally moved me to tears. Toneisha can handle anything thrown at her and make it sound incredible. Todd's a solid, enthusiastic singer who won because as a white, male, Christian country singer with strong family values he appeals to the largest voting bloc. But look a few years down the line, and it's more likely that Thunderstorm Artis will still be the name on people's lips. There are dozens of Todd's out there but only one Thunderstorm.

After 18 seasons, a singing competition show that has crowned only 4 contestants of color (and only 1 black woman) indicates serious flaws in the selection and public voting process. This is particularly obvious due to the fact that during the blind auditions coaches end up picking a large proportion of highly talented colored singers. Only when America starts voting one begins to see a consistent favoritism for white (and also country) singers. I think the way voting is allowed may have an effect on this. In many instances, I noticed that voting is already "closed" when the show airs on the west coast of the country. I am not sure removing this west coast vote suppression would make results a better reflection of the audience's preferences but I would advise the producers of the show to consider it. If this is not the reason for these biased results, then I would encourage the producers and coaches to have someone do sone serious research on this matter. Our youth of color does not need yet one more reminder that "no matter how talented they are, their odds to make it will always be lower than those of a white person". For my part, I am done watching The Voice.

I thought Thunderstorm had the most unique voice. I thought Todd has a strong voice, but he sounds a lot like Kenny Rodgers. So for me Thunderstorm should have won.

  • Paula Clingan - 5 years ago

I love The Voice and picked another winner ????❤️????✌️

  • Anythingua05 - 5 years ago

I thought perhaps Toneisha would pull it out as thought she sang the best last to shows but Todd and Thunderstorm were consistent all season. What makes it amazing for Todd is nonprofessional lessons etc. But America voted and that is that. I kinda wonder how many of you screaming Thunderstorm should have won actuallyvvoted and how many are people of color? Kinda sounds like reverse discrimination to me

I had my top 3 as Toneisha, Todd and T-Storm. I thought Toneisha really stepped it up in the final shows to earn the win. I thought T-Storm was unbeatable up to the last couple of shows where he just seemed to flatten out to me - perhaps a rookie coach did not help in that case. Cammweis should have sung Rocketman on Monday - that was an awesome performance.

  • Amy - 5 years ago

When I voted my picks were Thunderstorm/Todd/Toneisha, in that order. But based on the finale night performances, i think Todd did better. Any of the Top 3 deserved to win, they were all amazing in their own ways. Thunderstorm may be better off not winning. There is no way some label isn't going to snatch him up. This season had more amazing singers than in previous years.

  • Gail - 5 years ago

Todd was honest, sincere, and felt what he sang. Agree totally. That said, Toneisha was awesome too

  • Judy - 5 years ago

This is why The Voice never produces big stars. Todd was good and has a nice story but he will never go far in music industry. Thunderstorm would have been a better pick.

  • Sue Zuech - 5 years ago

    Thunderstorm should have won!!

  • Michael - 5 years ago

I couldn’t pick between Todd and Toneisha. They were both great. The other three wasn’t in their league.

  • Anita - 5 years ago

The top 5 were were all great. I just do not agree with the outcome. Don't get me wrong, Todd is good but there were others that I think would have gone further in the music world.

  • Alan - 5 years ago

All of the top 5 were very good singers. I do feel the top 3 were all exceptionally good and should have been in the top 3. All of the top 3 deserved to be there and it is splitting hairs to say one If the others should have gotten 1st place. As far as comments about racially biased that is a bunch of crap. 3 of the top 5 were black ad only 2 white. Does that mean white people should start calling the race card? Go piss and whine somewhere else. They were all deserving and congratulations to all of the finalists. They will all have recording contracts.

    Thunderstorm. Robbed. Of.Winning

  • Sanity in an Insane World - 5 years ago

This is not the first time these shows have been clearly racially biased. I liked Camm and Thunderstorm and I think they could be on the radio soon, but Taneesha KILLED IT. Her Journey cover was amazing. She took a difficult song and owned it with her embellishments. Her original song was great. I thought Todd was #4 or #5. His cover was fine, but lame. At no point did he push for notes or runs that surprise you. If you are singing about falling on your knees in front of Jesus, the obvious move is to actually fall to your knees in the song and show some PASSION, push your voice and move us. His performance was good karaoke. I liked Todd the whole show, but his original and his cover in the finale were very safe and boring. If the show was actually about your VOICE, Taneesha ran away with it. Far from the first time the safe white person takes home these trophies.

Todd was definately the winner. Can’t believe you did not give us the second and third place names. They deserved to know ‼️

  • Rosemary Calico-Hopson - 5 years ago

RELEASE THE 2nd & 3rd PLACES NOW. JUST STATING TWO RUNNER UPS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNFAIR TO THE TWO CONTESTANTS AS WELL AS US VOTERS. !

  • Michelle Burrell - 5 years ago

and Yes I did vote for Toneshia...and would do it again..

  • Michelle Burrell - 5 years ago

Toneshia should have won The whole Voice, it should not have been any finalist she had the most amazing vocals than any one, she was another Jennifer Hudson, she did not even have to strain when she sang like the rest of them that is what you call a Singer, and they should stop America from voting and let the professionals do the voting..it is not right..Toneshia had this one.. I am team Toneshia all the way.

  • Michelle Burrell - 5 years ago

Toneshia should have the Voice , she is so Amazing, she was the best Vocalist of all times, that lady could sang not sing but sang the roof of a building, America you this one wrong it seems that not ever when the best singer is African American on this show they never win, I know Toneshia is going to be grab with plenty of record deals by a lot of people..

  • elaine igoe - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm was the real winner. Someone should sign him as he us a true star. Follow the food network formula where you have hosts and then other professionals judge the finale. Or keep contestants hidden until the winner is known and then see them for the first time. That would truly be judged on the voice.

  • KC - 5 years ago

To all the disgruntled commenters.... did you vote? Todd received the most votes and that is how it works! Hey Voice, why no 2nd and 3rd place announced? After all that work, get to put runner up on their resume???

  • Penny Love - 5 years ago

Todd was clearly the winner of the voice. His vocals had character, strength & depth. I am so impressed. Thunderstorm has a gorgeous voice and plays guitar very well. But it’s about the Voice not the guitar.

  • Faye Merlo - 5 years ago

My choices were Tod And Toneshia

  • Paul - 5 years ago

Todd should not even made it into the finals... Thunderstorm was the clear winner. Sadly I am done with this show and I really like Blake actually.

  • Leo - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm should have won! It is a shame The Voice has been turning into the next country artist winner since there isn’t split votes between coaches for country music voters! This is why I haven’t watched The Voice in years! The best singer should win! Not the coach with the largest fan base!

  • Maryjane - 5 years ago

This year they all were so close, I couldn't have called it! Congratulations Todd????

  • Doina - 5 years ago

Wrong...second year in a row.Thunderstorm wasbthe winner for me.the show is about talent in 2020 not about family and children. The show was exceptional.

  • Daphne James - 5 years ago

I think Thunderstorm should’ve won with Tonesha in close 2nd.

  • Sharon - 5 years ago

My personal opinion is that Tonesha should have won the voice 2020. She is definitely the BEST!!

  • Steve Houghtaling - 5 years ago

Todd was great but Thunderstorm by far had more talent! America, as usual, got it wrong! These shows need to be judged by professionals!

  • Canadian Fan - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm was robbed. Todd is a great guy, nice family but come on Thunderstorm is a better singer with more depth. Oh well USA loves country. Too bad for Nick Jonas as well. It would have been his first win. Maybe next year!

  • Kate - 5 years ago

    Thunderstorm should have won !!!!

  • Trent - 5 years ago

Todd deserved the win, and how its calculated clearly the voters agree. Todd was amazing.

  • Cathy - 5 years ago

Loved the outcome and huge kudos to the voice team for pulling off the remote locations! Way above what I saw with American Idol!!!!!!

  • Michele Patrick - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm should have won this year...It's called the "Voice" not the one who had the nicest family...

  • Erica - 5 years ago

Totally agree that Todd was consistently amazing and should have won. Thunderstorm was good but not even close to Todd.

  • Teresa Plontke - 5 years ago

Without a doubt Todd definitely deserved to win the Voice!! I do agree that Thunderstorm has a good voice but Todd is outstanding!!

    Congrats Todd!!

  • Hammer - 5 years ago

Happy for Todd but Thunderstorm was in a league of his own: singer, instrumentalist, writer, and wicked name. Of the 5 he has a bright future.

  • Patty - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm should have been the winner.

  • Maribel - 5 years ago

    I disagree with the results.
    Best singer is Thunderstorm!

  • Linda - 5 years ago

    The win belonged to Thunderstorm

  • Ed - 5 years ago

Thunderstorm was heads above the other contestants.
