I was also disappointed because I wanted total closure. Where is Pete, Andrew, and a few others that we don’t hear about anymore. If you can’t complete another show or season, then let us read what happened to those people Is Meka dead? Will Esparaonza go jail for killing Eddie or did Eddie die. What happens to the fireman and his wife? Too many unanswered questions. Please let us know something!!!

  • Beverly Robinson - 4 years ago

I agree with everyone. Tyler has dragged us through five series. He could have at least tied up loose ends. But that's what Tyler does. I understand that there will be some questions but there's just too much we don't know. Some people just stopped existing and we remember them vividly. Tyler you need to continue on another network (BET+) WE deserve answers. The most unbelievable thing for me was about Brad. Really? Marci wants to tell the truth and Brad convinces HER not to. And is Randall's Mom still in the hospital? And why show Larry's wife now? Lol

  • Tee - 4 years ago

I'm agreeing with everyone else. This should not have been the final episode. It was a good episode but definitely shouldn't been the final. Sooooo many unanswered questions for sure.
Highly disappointed. But hope Tyler Perry does something to make up for this.

  • Sweet Girl - 4 years ago

I am very disappointed with the ending of the show. Like most viewers so many unanswered questions.
    1. What is the story line around the church?
    2. Larry was more than a lawyer, what else was he into?
    3. Who is Casey? And why was he just mentioned?
And like most viewers would like to know what happened to Pete and the other officers that went missing?
This was a very poor job as a ending. All those long breaks Tyler come on!!!

  • Sherry - 4 years ago

I have watched if loving you is wrong from day 1 the series can not end with more questions. It needs another couple episodes to know the fate of everyone .i hope Tyler Perry doesn’t leave one the best shows on tv like this

  • Sandy - 4 years ago

I Agree.... U don't Leave Unanswered Questions...in a "SERIES FINALE" In a Series Finale, All Matters Are Solved... U have a Understanding of the Show. ... Most Characters have a Happy Ending...& The ones that don't...u Understand why...but u DNT Have "Cliffhangers on the Final Episode of a SERIES. It's OBVIOUS that Tyler Perry Doesn't know HOW TO END A TV SHOW!!! Look how "FOR BETTER OR WORSE " Tv Show ENDED!! HORRIBLE!! There Needs to be Either Another Season...OR A Two Hour Movie

  • Connie - 4 years ago

Love it. Pure Taylor Perry mood. It went out with a bang. That dam Taylor Perry did it again, leaving us wanting more and all the what if’s. Thank you Mr. Perry. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Christopher Looker - 4 years ago

I love most of Tyler Perry's shows, especially the soap operas. I have been a very loyal viewer of If Loving You is Wrong and the Haves and Have Nots and now The Oval. Tyler, come on now. This was not a series finale because there are WAY too many questions left unanswered. Please give us a season six or, at the very least, a two-hour movie to answer the remaining cliffhangers! Is Ian dead? Is Ian the father of Alex's baby? Do Brad and Marcie get away with framing Alex? What about the police officer Eddie killed? Is he really dead or is he under cover? Is Mika really dead? Does Bennet get cleared of Randall's murder? Does Alex get convicted of Randall's murder? I could go on. We need a season six!

  • Jeanette - 4 years ago

Not at all happy with the ending too many issues not resolved. as stated what happened to Pete what happened to Andrew does anybody know what they did about Ramsey's death also just because they switched dresses and put it on Alex they can do a fingerprint check on the murder weapon and see they are Marcy's. I agree with all he needs to bring it back to do a final wrap up and close out of all of the storylines

  • CMarie - 4 years ago

This was a HORRIABLE ending to what started out as decent show. I knew it wasn't going last it took you too long between seasons to come back. By Season 4 the show started to go down hill. To end it the way you did was such a big FAILURE!
You probably don't care what people think but at the end of the day this represents your name.
    Very DISAPPOINTED...

  • DEVON - 4 years ago

NOT HAPPY AT ALL! This show drug out for 5 seasons. One day was the equivalent of 5 episodes but the finale was 3 episodes in one. I have so many unanswered questions and most of the finale didn't make sense. Why kill (I assume) Ian? What was the purpose of bringing Terrell or the new neighbors onto the show? Eddie ALWAYS wore a vest but suddenly he didn't!? I find it really hard to believe that Brad (Mr. Do Good) would frame Alex as much as he preached about not wanting to hurt his kids. Most of the finale, and even the final season, made no sense.

  • Elfrieda Shettleworth - 4 years ago

Please bring it back for another season if not on OWN on BET we need closure this is ridiculous we don't know what happened to a lot of the major characters this series is just like Ambitions we don't know what happened to a lot of those characters either this is ridiculous if you're not going to finish the show don't start a show .I hope that when you in Greenleaf that were not up in the air like we have been on most of the shows on Own!!!

  • Georgie jo - 4 years ago

    Sorry I invested 5 Seasons!

  • Jan - 4 years ago

Didn't like the finale. Too brutal, too rushed and left too many storylines without reasonable closure.

  • Bree - 4 years ago

I agree with previous posts that a lot of questions were left unanswered. The finale seemed rushed. I realize Mr. Perry has a lot of projects but for the show to end like it did was not fair to viewers. I stopped watching prior to the finale because the plot was slow. How many times can Eddie and Randall get away with hurting other people and not suffer the consequences? Both died in the season finale but a lot of questions still were unanswered.

  • edward f hill - 4 years ago

The most positive thing ever to happen after 5 seasons of too many dragged out dialogues between two characters is the fact that Eddie (my most hated) and Randall (my second most hated character) finally bit the dust. Now being an eye for an eye and pay your debt to society type guy, I'm disappointed at Brad and Marcie's decision to pin a murder on someone else. Eddie finally got his due but I wish the writers had kept it in the hands between Larry and his lot instead of putting that gun in Esperanza's hands.

  • Cynthia - 4 years ago

I watched If Loving You is Wrong from day 1. The season finale as with other episodes left too many issues up in the air. The fireplace poker would have Marcie's fingerprints on it. I presume Ian is dead. Was Mika killed? What about that cop Eddie killed? Did they just chalk it up as a missing cop? What about Lucious and Esmeralda's lover--were they both undercover FBI agents? Why wasn't that revealed? The final episode was rushed and choppy. Alex was a dysfunctional woman, but she wasn't a killer. We never found out if Ian was the baby's father. Kelly was a criminal. Justice's father took the fall and did the crime he did the time for. Marcie and Brad are criminals and messed up. They both had their reasons for allowing Alex to take the fall. The season finale needs a clean up crew for the unanswered mess left behind. I like Tyler Perry's shows, but this June 16th final episode was an epic fail.

  • Alexandra - 4 years ago

I have a pretty good imagination so I will come up with my own ending. I love Tyler but like everyone said it was so rushed and packed with to many things going on at once. I agree Joey went to jail and was never heard of again. We know Alex was molested by her father but she really had a secret past that was wayy out there how did she had time to meet all these men without no one catching on WOW. Well in the end they said they had a 187 on a female we don't know if it was Mika so I'm gonna go with it wasn't. Another show bites the dust

  • Veronica L Baker - 4 years ago

I loved it I just cant believe that's how its ending I live this show just wish mr Perry will bring it back along with the other great movies

  • Ds - 4 years ago

Although the ending was rushed and unsatisfactory, the whole season had got kind of ridiculous so I’m satisfied that it’s gone. I did watch every episode. Let’s move on!!

  • Pasqual - 4 years ago

Let me help all of you out on here. This is a clear example when a show gets cancelled or doesn’t get the reorder or renew it thinks it’s gonna get. Let’s look at this from all angles do you really think Tyler Perry would give us that after 5 seasons of masterful writing.

The finale was a joke. It looks like this was written for 6 seasons and this episode was supposed to be a season finale with cliffhangers for next season. As a writer when you lead cliffhangers like that you are preparing storylines for next season.

The show took a hiatus and it seems like OWN cancelled it. Weren’t there rumors that her and Tyler Perry had beef? Didn’t Tyler Perry’s sign a huge developmental deal with BET? Maybe that’s why we got punished with this.

Looks like this was already written and the show just stopped in production. It’s not realistic to have Alex aka peppa go down for this. Her character is flawed she just got assaulted and drugged that’s her reward for being a victim? Being framed for a murder she didn’t commit?

If anything her and Ian should’ve rode into the sunset. Ian helped get the information to get kelly out of jail gave Lucion the lawyer to help Kelly he don’t deserve that.

Just didn’t like it. And Larry and Eddie were both bad guys as far as Randle is concerned it made no sense Marcy would’ve easily gotten off. I think fireman should’ve gotten off and Brad turned into a punk. I hate his character now. This season looked rushed. They could’ve had more character development. Hopefully we see this show on BET or USA I just hope a network picks it up cause it’s one of my favorites.

Tyler, You are an AWESOME Writer, Please bring back If Loving You is Wrong for at least 1 more season please. I am glad that Eddie is gone he was Very Mean & Abusive to Esperanza. But at least let Larry not be dead. And then at least let us see who will be charge for Randall death. Please once again Mr. Perry please bring it back one more season please. Once Again You are an AMAZING WRITER..P.S I am starting to watch your show on BET called the OVAL!!!!

  • Gigi - 4 years ago

The Boom episode seemed like it was thrown together without much thought to it. It seemed like a rushed job. Let’s get rid of all the villains in one last swoop. Too much too fast.

  • Pat B - 4 years ago

This was not a good finale. The storylines were not wrapped up for several of the characters. It would have been great to let us know their future. Marcie and Brad definitely ended badly. What will happen to Esparanza? On a lesser note, what happens with Kelley. There should have been closure for Alex as well as Ian. NIow if there is to be a spinoff which will address these points, my views on the finale would change. As it stands, you left us hanging.

  • Pat - 4 years ago

    Tyler this finale sucked!!!!!

  • SUMMER BROWN FLEMISTER - 4 years ago

Too many unanswered questions. Not a good finale at all

  • Caroline - 4 years ago

Eddie and Randal got what was coming, even though Randal's death was overkill. Don't like that Brad convinced Marcie to frame Alex. She probably could have gotten off with claim of self defense. With how Randal looked they should have realized that Alex only had blood on the dress. Where was all the brain matter and splatters of blood that should have been all over her. Eddie, I have no sympathy for. He turned their daughter against her mom. Could say more but it would be a book

  • Shirley Parker - 4 years ago

Tyler you know I love your show but you left me hanging man,I ain't mad at cha! But next time clean it up and I know you can LOVE YA MUCH!!

  • Chan - 4 years ago

Tyler, please hurry and come out with the next season! The last episode left us with too much suspense. I think Marcie could have confessed and probably would have been able to get off. Randal did attack her and she had a bruise. I hope Mika is ok.

  • Beverly - 4 years ago

Just okay. Too many unanswered questions, very poorly done for an ending finale. I thought there were suppose to be 18 episodes. All the bad characters got what they deserved except for Ian? Is Ian okay? Don’t agree with Alex taking the fall for Randall’s murder. Sad ending I know Tyler can do better.

  • Teresa Jackson - 4 years ago

I didn't want it to end love this show.but it still left things undone. I don't want the show to end.

  • LaMonica - 4 years ago

Too many cliff hangers. This could've ended better especially being the series finale. DIDN'T LIKE AT ALL!!!!!

  • Will - 4 years ago

It could’ve been better, but there were too many unanswered questions that left me hanging☹️

  • Janice - 4 years ago

I wanted to see how the lives of the rest on Castillo Lane play out. But oh well ending could have been better.

  • Shirletta Perkins - 4 years ago

Come on Tyler. It makes no sense to leave it like that. Well I guess it does. Just want more.

  • Felisha - 4 years ago

I love love this show. I’m so glued to the tv when it’s on. Sometimes I just want to jump through the tv and slap a couple of the cast. Lol.. But Seriously I really hate how it ended. Need a lil more answers to solve this puzzle. We need to know the outcome after all of the deaths. Just a bit more details to let us know how this will play out with the rest of the cast. I dnt like Brad putting the blame on Alex, and Marci just sitting back like she haven’t done anything, and putting the neighbor in police thinking he killed Randall. Yes Randall and Eddie deserves their part. But Ian didn’t. The finale should have been at least 2hrs long. Tyler Perry you did great but I need more.. This is my favorite show!

  • Uylonda - 4 years ago

I loved the show like most of your shows. However each plot takes to long to get to the end, and then the show is over. EPIC Continuous FAIL

  • Priscilla - 4 years ago

Wow!!! What a ending. I didn’t see Marcie violently killing Randall. He did attack her and she hit him with a object, but then in rage she killed him. Maybe self defense. Why didn’t Marcie be happy with Brad and stop making Randall jealous. Marcie was doing mind games. Brad is protecting Marcie and wanted revenge on his ex-wife to be blamed for Randall murder.

Now getting to Eddie and Esperanza daughter kidnapped. All happened too fast. Eddy dismantled the crooked lawyer Larry and killed him after Larry under direst told Eddy that his daughter was in dumpster. We don’t know if the little girl was murdered. Eddie told Esperanza In tears their daughter was gone. Esperanza in a rage shot and killed Eddy while witnesses looked on. Lots of questions unanswered. We don’t know if show is coming back on. It was a good season while it lasted.

  • Lisa - 4 years ago

Come on Tyler Perry! There were to many things left unsolved.

    (1) Was Eddie and Esperanza’s daughter found dead or alive, (2) is Ian dead, (3) was Ian the father of Alex’s baby (4) if Kelly and Natalie’s friendship issues resolved, (5) did the fireman found out that Randall drugged his wife (6) was Esperanza charged, jailed and convicted for the murder of Eddie? (7) who was finally charged (Alex, Marci or the fireman) for the murder of Randall.

  • Linda D Woods - 4 years ago

When is Ruthless coming back on? I like the Oval. I also felt that the finale should have been 2 hours . I definitely enjoyed If Loving you is wrong. Is it possible those actors will be on any of your other series?

  • Carol - 4 years ago

I loved this show and every tuesday watched it. I kept hearing the final finale and thought it's going off til next year.I keep hearing its canceled.Tyler Perry this was such a good show I wished it would of been on for a couple of hours. I glued myself to the t.v on Tuesdays. There was alot of unanswered questions, like who was the father of Alex baby? Did Ian die? Did the lawyer die? Did Mika die? Did Eddie die? LOVED THIS SHOW!!!!!!!

  • Ava Morgan - 4 years ago

Too many unanswered questions.......glad Eddie and Randall are gone but I do not like that Marci did not tell the damn truth. Too many die in one weekly series. Don't like that Brad blames his kids mom either. Not a good ending to me.

  • Marcia - 4 years ago

I'm so disappointed. There are so many questions that were never addressed. What happened to Natalie's son and his girlfriend? What happened to Esparanza's crazy ex-boyfriend? How did Kelly get out of jail all of a sudden after she's been locked up for the last 2 seasons and what was the purpose of Justice's dad showing up? Did Alex always have multiple personalities? Who is Kelly's baby's daddy? Is Lushion still undercover FBI? WHAT HAPPENED TO MIKA and who is Casey?

This should have been at least a 2 hour series finale. But feels like the whole season was thrown together at the last minute. We deserved better than this.

I think this episode had the least amount of "are you sure" questions.

  • Callen - 4 years ago

Horrible ending what happened to all the cartel angles and people involved what happened to the missing deputies? Who's the father of Alex's baby? What was wrong with Alex bipolar/ schizophrenic/ raging alcoholic? Why did Brad suddenly change his whole personality did Alex really drive him that crazy? Do we really believe that Marcy loves Brad I thought the whole time she just really wanted to get back at Randall she only seem to want to love him when Randle could witness it. I binged all the episodes over the weekend and I was tallying all the questions I had and now only maybe one of them got answered if that

  • Will - 4 years ago

Crazy ending. Glad to see randall and Eddie go they deserved it. But framing Alex was cruel. Series was slow as hell until today and wished it had this tempo from the beginning. This show deserves to be on every dam week. So Tyler your fans sure would like to see more. We have been faithful so how bout some mo! ????????

  • Bill - 4 years ago

    Worst...Series...Finale... Ever!

  • Beatrice - 4 years ago

Mr. Tyler.....No. You know you needed a 2 hour finale! I realize Covid. 19 has us all out of sorts....but this is before the murders and protests that this was recorded, correct???
You truly cheated us on this. At least do a sit down with the actors and discuss their endings. You owe us, and I know you always pay your debts and most of everyone elses. Love you Man. We need closure! ????

  • Porcha Perry - 4 years ago

Why wasn't this at least 2 hours? There are extremely too many unanswered questions like who's the father of Alex/Jennifer baby? Is Ian dead or in a comma? Did the find video in Randal's house to prove who killed him? Did Alex really go to jail? Is Marcie going to confess or is Randal going to hunt her? It's a lot of things missing!

  • Emily Fields - 4 years ago

Epic fail!!’ This ending was poorly put together and seemed rushed. I can get Marci snapping and killing Randall because she was soooooooo angry with him. But really....they framed Alex for Randall’s death. Out of character for Brad/Marci....and it just came so easy for them to do it. But...is Alex really going to jail?? I guess we’ll never know. And I get Eddie was supposed to be this maniac cop but him just killing everybody, come on!! Wait, we don’t know if Ian is really dead. Then Esmeralda just shoots Eddie and it goes off, huh......Is he dead!?!? Lol. I loved this show. And when I found out there were only 3 episodes left...I knew the ending wasn’t going to be good. It was too much going on to end the show. Alex had just went crazy, they just got the new crazy lady neighbor (not even sure why they brought them on the show) and who’s Alex’s baby daddy!?!?!

  • Valencia - 4 years ago

It just okay I was glad to see Randall get his just rewards but I think it was tacky to frame Alex for it. Although Eddie got on my nerves I would have rather seen him go to jail and suffer around some ex cons that he arrested.I think Larry should have survive so we could find out who was behind him and who was Casey. Last but not least why kill off little Mika. the ending leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

  • Eveétte Martinez - 4 years ago

If only the entire series was as fast as the finale!! So many loose ends. Sad that the series was soooo slow and the finale was rushed and all the story lines were crammed to fit into 1 hour. Alex gets framed, Ian her attorney is assumed dead so she is screwed there We never found out the DNA results. Is the baby Ian’s?
So Ian knew who this Casey was but kept it from Lushion and went through the tazzing with Eddie still didn’t give up the information. Crazy!!
Now what happened to the other characters like Esperanza thug boyfriend who killed his dad, what happened to Natalie’s son who was in jail. I also remember an episode where they mentioned that Travis had a twin, what happened to him!? So many unanswered questions.

  • Tudy - 4 years ago

Great ending from start to finish!! There were still some storylines left untold, but, the final hour was great and shocking. I didn’t think the daughter would be killed.

  • R. Robinson - 4 years ago

They didn't even show that Randall is the one that drugged the fireman's wife.

  • R. Robinson - 4 years ago

The season finale was an epic fail!!!!! Tyler Perry really disappointed me with how this ended especially if it's the final season as stated. Several questions weren't answered, Eddie didn't suffer enough he should have suffered the 2 lawyer's fate, why would Marcie not admit she killed Randall especially when it was clearly self defense, they didn't let us know if Ein, Eddie or Eddie's daughter is really dead. And Alexis' husband framing her for Randall's murder was so out of character for him which was really stupid.

  • DD - 4 years ago

If the story is over, how will they resolve the loose ends?

  • Traci - 4 years ago

Excellent ending! I will be mad if Eddie was wearing a vest and lived. Randal and Alex got what they deserved. The very beginning of the show was him and her in the shed. They danced to the music they paid the cost. I hope Marci and Brad and the kids run off into the sunset like he said. The fireman will be fine because Alex is going up for it. Esperanza will get off on temporary insanity.

  • Margie D Harris - 4 years ago

It made me mad at the end. Because Eddie and Randall made the show. He should bring it back. Or make a movie telling us what happened.

  • Margie D Harris - 4 years ago

It made me mad at the end. Because Eddie and Randall made the show. He should bring it back. Or make a movie telling us what happened.

  • Annette - 4 years ago

It’s not finished !!! Do they realize the killer. Is Ian ok? Is Alex ok ? Does Brad still go with that neighbor.
