I really liked the show before but why does our black men always have to be the face of the Gay and transgender community. Stop pushing this on US. Forcing people to accept the writers lifestyle thru the writing of the show is not good. Like roaches that you can’t get rid of. STOP FORCING GAY AND TRANS LIFESTYLES ON BLACK AMERICA. If your gay/trans and happy GOOD FOR YOU we shouldn’t be forced to watch it on every show now days. I read that Reg got killed off because he wouldn’t play boyfriend to a transgender and if that’s the case I support him.

Wish they would’ve explained how Brandon died. He was my favorite character. I get it, he had consequence irl , but you can’t just kill off main characters and not even give an explanation!!! Smh, Lena.

I do not like the way the show is going. I was hooked Season 1 & 2. OMG! Why did you kill off Brandon & Reg my favorite characters. I never watched it when it first premiered, but for the last few days I watched season 1 & 2 non stop and I was so excited when I caught up to season 3, not what I expected sorry. You don’t have to always kill off the main characters why not have Reg survive the shooting and still be a little bad boy but still try to get his life together. Why not have Brandon in witness protection?!? I know it was behind the scenes chaos so why not renegotiate his contract. I promise you the was such a hit. You have to keep all players happy for this show to be a hit and it was now I don’t think I’ll continue to watch. You should have kept us in suspense and keep the major players around until season 4 or 5. I’m not really feeling the show right now it’s to much killing of the could be would be heavy hitters. Why not bring Reg back and give him an identical twin brother no one knew he had whose just as bad as he was. I promise you the ratings go thru the roof. Just my opinion.

Didn't like Episode one at all! Brandon was the show along with the kids. Brandon's death was no surprise considering his behind-the-scenes behavior, but I'm still hoping he returns from "witness protection" lol.. The kids,I absolutely HATE the direction they're heading! Poppa isn't himself,Kevin is taking a turn for the worse. His talking back to his mom, whereas he was always the "good kid" and the drinking, smoking and player persona is too big of a change for one season. To kill off Reg only to bring in a bootleg look a like makes no sense at all. Now what appears to be an overdose of lesbian activity to come shows the writers from season 1 and 2 aren't the writers for this season. Not just the lesbian activity, because this is the world we live in today, but the entire storyline seems to be in disarray to me. The loss of Reg and Brandon may be too much of a loss at once. My biggest gripe though is the kids! Keisha's becoming a whore, not the typical sneaky teenager. She's now not interested in track or college smh. I've already discussed my disappointment in Kevin's and Poppa's characters. Poppa used to be the groups voice of reason but now he's becoming just one of the "guys". Surely hopes the writing gets better and truer to the format that worked so very well the first two seasons.. The loss of Brandon really hurt the show in my humble opinion.

My heart is completely broken over the loss of Brandon. I'm wondering if it will turn out that he's just hiding in the witness protection program or something, lol. I was totally pulling for him and Jerrica. In fact, he was the main reason I was watching the show, even though I didn't realize it until he was gone. Brandon offered balance to the show. I guess Emmett will have to be his replacement now, but it won't be the same.

And I am shocked to see all the homophobic comments here. Please stop acting like you don't have gay people that you love in your family, neighborhood, work environment, etc.

The show’s creator is lesbian, so expect some representation. Keisha planning for college is always a sign that the character’s fate is about to change. The boys (Kevin, Papa and Jake) are growing although it was tough watching them drink alcohol (and cuss like crazy) at their age. Trig and Imani (Is that a female?) will be interesting new characters, and I saw some glimpses of other A and B-list Black celebs. Ready for Ronnie’s story, and also Jada’s progress. Emmett will be filling Brandon’s shoes, and I don’t know how I feel about Maisha considering she was portrayed as very inappropriately aggressive in past seasons.

I hope Emmett & Tiff make it.
I hope Papa & Maisha make it. I think.
I hope the newlyweds make it.
I hope Jerica gets written off (sorry).
    I hope Keisha is safe!

This is one of the greatest shows ever, to me.

    Soo what happened to Brandon?????

Every one doesn't need the gay community all in our TV screen throughout the Show! Let's get an grip ???? on BLACK LIVES MATTER before we focus on BLACK Gay Lives! Stop hiring Black Gay writers producers Directors if they continue to show Gay people on Prime Time TV having Sex! God said Adam n Eve not Adam and STEVE!

There were a lot of loose ends that were tied up in episode one of season 3. Brandon and Reg’s fate were no surprise, however, with Trig now being a major player, Douda appears to have a serious problem! I like how Kevin’s character is moving on and looks to be maturing with taking on Brandon’s business. I am enjoying seeing how much the kids have grown since the end of season 2. Ronnie remains a mystery and that is what is so appealing about his character. Loved the cliffhanger ending to the episode and I really enjoy how life in south Chicago is portrayed very truthfully! Keep up the good work!!!!
